It's amazing how this series has absolutely exploded the last 18 months. My buddy kept bugging me to read it, and wouldn't shut up about how good it was. I was like "yeah, yeah, I'll get to it". I ended up listening to the first 6 books in 8 days, and immediately re-listening at a more reasonable pace. And now, it's been officially announced that a show has been greenlit!
My first pair of SSD's lasted about 10 years, so in my case it was accurate, at least.
