No man, but this post isn’t about that. I can feel things about and support many causes. Would it have been better if this post was a collection of the conditions of all people suffering genocides? You’re being obstinate and contrarian and mad because people think it’s a bad take. No it’s not the only genocide. No it’s not the only bad thing. Largely seems like you don’t care too greatly about those things either (other than as fodder for your minimization of solidarity with this post)
In decades past it would’ve still been the Palestinians, but the Western media didn’t cover it at all (or if they did it was from the perspective of the Israelis). Thanks for proving my point!
You should check out the book Violent Truce by EH Hutchinson for more. Firsthand account from a US military observer from the 1950s. Might make you understand a little better about the necessity of putting eyes on these types of things
Idk bringing eyes to a situation that typically has been downplayed or mostly silent from the POV of Palestinians to an uninformed Western audience is a good step imo
That kind of debate and those points are best made when the situations affecting the civilian population are not dire. The completely imbalanced and disproportional response combined with the dire circumstances currently being experienced are what should be the focus at this point
In good news, I had something similar (if not possibly the same thing) happen to me. 2012 Hyundai Sonata. Engine started knocking and had gotten routine inspections and oil changes, they paid for the repairs and got the life time warranty. Just traded it in with 200,000 miles after that happened around 90,000
