Pour - Carbonation is surprisingly high, fizzy sounds abound. Started pour slow, but increased distance as head declined to form. Even with aggressive pour head is very nearly non-existent, almost nearly an entire ring formed around the glass. Very few bubbles linger, but the few that do last for a good long while.Overall - Pretty enjoyable!
Palate - In mouth chocolate is up front. Toasty then roasty notes come behind. Capsaicin is on the back, but still definitely present after more than a decade. Sweet but not cloying. Dark chocolate kind of dominates on the linger.Mouthfeel - Body is a bit thinner than perhaps may be ideal; but pleasantly sticky, coats the mouth well.
Poured aggressively into a Duvel tulip/chalice (idk, been out of the game long enough not sure what to classify this glass as, see photos). Chilled in the refrigerator for idk a couple of days. Sat in a closet for oh probably roughly 11 years.Nose - Toasty grain/cereal is up front. As warms, gives way to roasty grain and cocoa (toasty = gold to golden brown; roasty = brown to black). Dark chocolate is highly present. Spicy note is surprisingly still there.
