he may have been, it looks like the door hit him really hard in the shoulder and ribs. adrenaline is a hell of a drug, so it may have taken a minute for him to feel the full effect

it still took a lot of coordination and planning. its like practical effects in a movie, sometimes the way they came up with to simulate the event is just as cool, but in a different way
i can get that, i went into it based on the stars and director having previous made In Bruges together, and this movie was definitely not a comedy. So if you expect it to be a different thing, and then refuse to meet it where it is, and dont think about the characters or feel for anyone, then yeah i can see thinking its a bad movie.
