The politician will probably be presented as a martyr whether they survive or not, and it'd probably *help* their campaign because 30% our nation are morons. I would message them and remind them that breaks allow them to perform work better, and that they worked to earn time off and it was illogical to work for free during time they EARNED. I always treated my devs as humans first and workers second. Even in our daily stand-ups I'd end them with interesting facts or links to good wiki articles about non-work stuff. It was fun.

They're paying taxes, they're filling a healthcare gap for the elderly Americans in the town that wasn't being met by American healthcare workers, and we're going to kick them out.
