I use the blu-ray.com app to track my collection. Only once have I bought a title I already have, which was the Hereditary 4k. I completely forgot I'd bought it and didn't bother to check my app. Even the best app can't account for human error. At least it made a good Christmas present for a friend.
Haha, nope. My black galic phase didn't last long enough to get there. Knowing me, I'll get obsessed with it again in 10 years and maybe then I'll try it.
Yeah I'm often refreshing the deals section under newest deals to catch any deals that don't last long. It used to have a price tracker, which was great, but it went away a long, long time ago. Gave alerts on items you could track and have those alerts come in when it hit your target price. The tracking of my collection is still the best part of the app. I use it to track my watch history as well.
Glad to have helped! Love the ability to scan barcodes. Might be better collection tracking apps out there, it's just the first one I tried and at this point it would be a nightmare to have to start from scratch.
I can see why they had to shut down production, but I was crushed when it happened. Really loved that show.

I've got a ton of duplicates. All upgrades from blu to 4k, except for Goodfellas, the 4k remaster is reviled so I grabbed the blu restoration. I have 100 blu duplicates on a shelf in another room. My rule is that the blu is removed if the 4k comes with a blu as well. I consider my collection 4k and blu, as most people don't have 4k setups, so if I want to lend someone a film I feel I need to ensure I have a blu option available. It's sad how many tv shows will never get a blu release.
It's definitely fun to curate themed movie nights when you have this much selection. 1200 is a pretty great collection. Hope you have fun with it. Happy collecting!
AFAIK this issue has only affected select dvd's published between 2006 and 2008. So far it seems limited to only dvd's and that blu rays from that time are unaffected. They are running a replacement disc program, however it's a SOL situation if it affects an out of print title. In that case they're providing a similarly valued title, which I wouldn't be happy with. Unfortunately physical media isn't forever, even if stored properly discs have about a 50 year lifespan.
Wow I have a long time to catch up to you! 3200 is very impressive, but I can see how it would be tough to find space for them all. I should really rip them all to some kind of media server, but I'm not ready to take that leap yet. I'm sure I'll regret that eventually. Same as you I've never bought a digital copy, I just don't see the value in it. Happy collecting!
"I'm Kenny Powers and you're not."
Is that the Billdozer!?
Ok, it's definitely an understatement lol
I have a pretty low threshold for what's worth buying lol. I find the level of compression on streaming services intolerable during dark scenes (I have a 77" tv), so I always prefer disc. Just picked up Andor on 4k so I don't have to deal with that on Disney+. Glad you've got your own collection with legos! Hope it makes you as happy as my movies do for me!
Lol, well I am single so that makes it easier and I work in film, so I have a bit of a one track mind.. That post is also out of date, up to 1826 blu/4k's now. The collection is worth more than my car lol
Considering how far the closest rental place is to me now, the 3rd one seems relevant. At least my movie 'buying' days aren't over. If you check my post history you'll see that is probably an understatement lol
Keep that dog away from sewer drains... and clowns.
"Inconceivable!"
"No, I definitely conceived you."
Who downvoted this!? I've brought you back to 1, but seriously, who downvotes Frisky Dingo?
"...You killed my father, prepare to die."
"No Inigo, I am your father."
When he finally poops
25 years!?
