What even is that supposed to be? Things like this are why I never even consider MTB trails. Was there even a warning sign that you're approaching an 8' drop?

After the 2020 election he wrote an editorial saying Trump lost and should shut up about it, but when running for another Senate term in 2022, he proudly advertised, THE ONLY CANDIDATE ENDORSED BY TRUMP! He won't stand up for his state.
All right, I was being hyperbolic. But the overwhelming majority of dog "problems" (and every bad interaction I've had personally) trace back to humans: the result of poor or inadequate training, handling, or restraint.
