The reason this happens is because the culture does not allow saying no to your boss, so when the boss wants to go out after work and drink you go. If you are poured or provided a drink by the boss you drink it. Imo it's one of the most toxic components of an otherwise lovely society. People know this and will allow the hammered men to be passed out wherever without being bothered bc they know what happened and it helps the men to save face.
