At my job we get COLAs (Cost of Living Adjustments) twice a year that tracks the CPI (Consumer Price Index) to keep us caught up with inflation. We also get a general wage increase every November, and I go up a pay step every 46 weeks (about $1.10 raise every step). It really sickens me that every single job doesnt have this pay structure.

What discipline? Because that sure as hell isn't a boxing stance, and I have no clue what martial art tells you to keep your stance wide with your legs fully extended. Fully extended legs reduces your mobility and power with your strikes.

A lot of the complaints of the gaming industry as a whole is mostly only applicable to AAA games. People really need to play more indie or AA games, and I think they will be much happier for it.

I definitely feel like my life would be more fulfilled in different ways if I lived in a bigger city out of Ohio, and I could pretty easily transfer anywhere with my job.

But the problem is my pay would remain the same. My salary goes a hell of a lot further here in Ohio, and I rather enjoy my comfortable life.

Have you never seen black or white people with "asian" eyes? Because I have seen plenty.

Pretty much every facial feature that is found primarily in 1 regional people is found in all humans connected by the same land mass. Hence why you might see a Scottish person with a wider, flatter nose more common with central Africans, or the aforementioned "asian" eyes in non-asian people (which not even all asian people have "asian" eyes)

I agree. His batman was fantastic. Really captured the dark, brooding nature of an early Batman. I can't wait to see his portrayal if Bruce Wayne in the next one.

Nah, that chick is legit like that. Had white supremacist shit all over her social media before she nuked it because she, a Christian "tradwife", got caught cheating on her husband.

Have you ever watched the Jubilee videos or are you just going off of what you see in clips?

I ask, because there are certainly some videos that are a bit over the top, but there are some that are actually pretty reasonable with knowledgeable guest (look up the Alex O'Connor)

Also, all the right wing people in that debate are on social media, and, ostensibly, really believe the things they are saying.

I've seen many videos/clips of Orthodox Jews opposing Zionism, including some in Isreal itself.

It puts the movement into your chest muscles more.

Try doing a push up normally and then try to do another push up but keeping your shoulder blades together the whole time.

The difference is immense, and you feel it way more im your chest with the latter push up variation.

Indeed, but she's gotta be careful just insta-pulling guard like that tho, because if the robber was a bit stronger he could have just powerbombed her onto the hard tile.

You generally never wanna be on your back in a self defense situation, regardless of your level of training.

Map games as in Europa Universalis or the like? Because I love EU4.

Ahhh, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the additional info.

Also, Rousey's trainer gassed her up too much about her stand up game and told Rhonda that she could stand and bang with a world class kickboxer instead of sticking to her grappling game. Pretty dumb on the trainer's part.

I heard someone say something like, "Money doesn't change people, it just magnifies the person's true nature", and I feel that is true and in line with what you are saying.

Same. Started a job 3 years ago that doubled my salary in the first year, almost tripling last year compared to my old job.

Pretty much all stress in my life melted away as I am able to afford a living with no difficulty at all.

It makes me so angry that the system makes it so difficult for everyone to enjoy this level of financial freedom.

Bro, it's all make believe.

I totally understand what you are saying, but literally every Greek God is problematic in some way or another if you dig deep enough. So are we not to create modern stories of fiction with these characters because of the problematic attitudes of the dudes that wrote stories 2000 years ago? Because I think that is kinda ridiculous.

Oh I get it, I was big into Alt Rock, Punk, Emo in high-school, and crapped on other genres, but have opened up my tastes a lot over the years.

Also, disco songs are catchy and groovy as hell, so I never understood why people disliked it until someone told me that if you lived through it you just saw way too many people making Disco albums just to try to jump on the craze. Ringo even made a Disco album lol

Absolutely, and I'm not saying that era of music didnt have unforgettable, irreplaceable musicians.

My complaint is solely for people that can't look at modern music and just say, "not for me" without cutting it down.

Exactly, and the generational tribalism is so goofy and exhausting.

As a musician for 30 years, it really irritates me when oldheads bash everything new and deify older music. I don't understand why people cant just enjoy older music and some of the newer music coming out. Believe it not, music did not actually "peak" conveniently during your formative years lol

Or it's just called sampling and the original artist gets a cut.

Personally, I think it is fine to recycle melodies to a new generation of people so long as proper credit is given to the original artist.

Additionally, this kind of behavior happened all the time in music before the 60s and nobody made a big stink of it. From Classical to Jazz, people borrowed melodies from other songs and everyone was cool with it.

Nah, Fools Mate is a 2 move checkmate when white makes pawn moves on F3(or F4) and G4. If black freed their queen with a E6 or E7 then they can move their queen to H4 for checkmate.

Meanwhile, you are picking some weird, pedantic hill to die on. Yes, he didn't initially start wearing black to protest the Vietnam war, but his overall mindset around wearing black to represent the exploited and downtrodden in society definitely fit the description of reson to wear black, supported by his owns words of protest against the Vietnam war.

Like, you are right, in the most literal, pedantic sense, but you seem to be ignoring the bigger picture and getting hung up of smaller details.

Bro's over here saying "Pretend-clever" like the word "pretentious" doesn't exist ๐Ÿ˜‚

Also, you know what they say, you are what you eat (referring to being an asshole, and such)

"The literal words of the man whose intents we are speaking of means NOTHING" is one hell of a goofy ass take lmao
