We got our advice from some millionaire stoners that build things like this and they kinda oversold us on the size motor we needed. The torque on this thing is insane, like, it will climb up a tree if given the opportunity
Man, we sweated the size. There was an act called Matt's Family Jam. great people, great show. They had a golf cart that pulled a much bigger stage but they had three of their kids all playing so it was a full band. Balancing visual heft verses the logistics of hauling the thing around the country took a bit of brainpower. We decided efficiency was the order of the day and we can always do a bigger stage later
Its has the full wish bone spring in the front and in the rear we did 600lb coil over shocks. She rides very well.
I can in fact verify that is the sound of an aluminum shovel striking a person. Dont ask how I know the sound of that sweet sweet TWANG!
This is so cool. I got to make all the hardware for this episode!

The original saying, at least here in the Southern US is "I'll snatch a knot in your ass'", derived from when you are tugging on a coiled rope and if you pull too hard, it will make a knot.
So, they laughably rely on me as an "expert". They give me the basics and I make stuff from there. Sometimes it hits, sometimes not and we just narrow it as we go

So, it certainly has something to do with skill but speed and reliability are king, You have to know and have a relationship with prop masters and set dec people, Its weird but most of the time you need to be at the right cocaine party.
I agree. When I get nitpicky though, I remember one of the main premises of the story is a giant clown with a sword that talks to a paper bag.
THEY WERE! I was like guys, these are too small to do anything. Welp, thats what the client ordered!
Its ridiculous the work the crews put into a set only to have it seen for a few seconds. You talk about talented people!
