Thanks I enjoy it as well. Probably easier to move to pm's. I doubt anyone is following the thread this far down the rabbit hole anyway.
I need you to unpack that a bit more, I don't quite understand what you are asking. thanks
claim and so we should not have a need to presuppose such a thing.
involve an entity which intervenes in peoples lives and that can be investigated. Therefore we can investigate the validity of the 3/4
our existence in this universe. I think the idea of a God is too complex to be presupposed. Also I think most God claims involve 2/3.
I presuppose that the universe follows "laws" for lack of a better word, laws that we can investigate, learn, and use to better navigate 1/2
I agree we all presuppose things, but I asked if you presuppose that a God exists. As stated I try not to assume.
I try not to assume and I agree for the most part, but you did not answer my question.
Do you presuppose that a God exists?
need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. Conversely, if you're pro-life you are against a persons right to choose, thus anti-choice.2/2
I would also argue that one can be Pro on a persons choice yet disagree with that choice so whether or not you are pro-baby murder would 1/2
Well I would of gone with "Pro-Life" and "Anti-Life" on the flip side. But whatever makes it most clear.
Can't we just call one "Pro-Choice" and the other "Anti-Choice".

Thanks the post. In Canada, Kazakhstan has a bit of a cult following in International hockey. It is our 2nd favourite team to cheer for. 1/2
Make as few presuppositions as possible and move forward from that point. 2/2
Well we could all be brains in a vat or part of some computer program. There is no answer to hard solipsism. At some point you have to 1/2
started doing a musical ride in front of us, most would assume God also exists.
What I meant by that is evidence that would point to the myth being true, like if the 4 horseman of the apocalypse came down and 1/2
Most Atheists would give the God debate a second nod on any verifiable evidence. Also, Atheism is the rejection of a claim, nothing more.
Yep, "be kind to thy neighbour" good sentiment, but let's leave it at that. No magic required.
Sorry man, couldn't live with it. I will chastise myself several times before bed tonight.
Had to repost this cause I buggered it up the first time, apologies
Spot on, "I don't like my beliefs being bashed", well goody for you. Either ignore it or defend it, but whining about it gets us nowhere.
Hopefully teaching them how to form their own opinions would include teaching them how to defend those opinions in common discourse.
