People think God is some being lording over our daily lives. Let's be real, no being that can create a UNIVERSE is going to watch you, 24/7, for petty reasons. All a being like God wants, if anything, is for us to treat ourselves and each other with love, empathy, understanding, etc... so that we can one day evolve to the same level that a being like God most likely exists at.
