There are a lot of different kinds, some of which may work more or less for you.Personally I quite enjoy ASMR after getting used to it.I feel it's hard to go wrong with stuff like someone with a nice voice softly telling you things are going to be alright/telling a story, or soft rhythmic breathing, or heartbeats, or soft humming. I like a lot of non-verbal triggers too, although whispering for whatever reason just doesn't do it for me.

"They live unbound by time" - No they fucking don't, they commute to Tromsø on shitty, narrow fjord roads either by car or by extremely infrequent bus routes, and the lucky ones work from home. "Locals can be seen blah blah blah" - they're just normal people for christ's sake. Sure, one or two people might decide to go for a midnight dip when 2AM looks like 2PM, but most people really just wanna put up either tin foil or blackout curtains and get some bloody sleep, humans kinda need that.
As someone who lives an hour's drive away from Sommarøy, this is complete and utter fucking horseshit. The pictures are from the Lofoten archipelago a few hours south, as well as the Atlantic Road, as mentioned by another commenter. The island of Sommarøy (and the adjoining Hillesøy) are very small and have very limited terrain and facilities for any of the stuff shown in the video. They also use the same 24 hour clock as everyone else, even if midnight sun/polar night both suck in their own way
This pic is "I can haz cheezburger?" kind of old

I'm not even right-wing, for crying out loud, I live in Scandinavia and even by our standards I tend to score center-left on political charts, and that's about how I vote, too. I just find that the world is getting more polarized and tribalistic, and I don't at all like how things are looking. I'm no political scholar, but the US looks on the precipice of civil war, and call me crazy, I really don't want that, both for international reasons and because I have friends there.
I'm advocating for some amount of moderation and civility rather than blindly demonizing other people, who are, at the end of the day, people, and a sizeable chunk of the population of the USA, might I add. Maybe I lack some perspective from not living there, but fuck me running, when did advocating for deescalation become controversial?
So now you're okay with being pulled down to their level? Doing the same thing in opposite-colored jerseys? Setting awful precedent? Excuse me for trying to provide some bloody perspective, rather than a clean, short and catchy quip. You can say "don't pull that both sides bullshit", but I wasn't specifying sides, so you're projecting pretty hard here.
Do me a favor and imagine the opposite political side to you said that. I figure it sounds less appealing that way.
I have heard one of these phrases frequently, the other never, I'll leave it as an exercise to imgur to guess which is which

I could maybe have benefited from including a "/s" in my post, as we're in agreement. I was satirizing how a lot of people these days seem to berate religious people, but then turn around and treat science like a faith all its own, with scientists (or even nebulous "experts") taking the place of priests. People keep saying "trust/believe the science", but that kind of runs counter to the inherent ideas of science as a self-correcting discipline that attempts to describe the world.
Don't ask questions just believe the science
It's been a non-stop cavalcade - gout triggering inflammation ankle-down, severe coughing that resulted in several cracked ribs, several bouts of food poisoning (writing this between retches) and probably other things that fall into the background
You can always choose to not make it known you used to be in the military, that seems like it would cut down on it.
The same cartoon overanalyzing a child's tale, that cartoon?
Imgur is an echo chamber, that's plain fact. Most places online these days is some kind of echo chamber, notably subreddits and facebook groups.

Absolutely based, love Alice Cooper
Art is ultimately a luxury product and tying your continued survival on it in a hypercapitalist society seems less than ideal.
Chompsky is a bitter, gatekeeping elitist
The mass intake of exploitable scab laborers does drive down wages and reduce job opportunities, especially since they have less protections
You look, from the picture, just a little bit like Seth, probably better known as SaffronOlive from MtGGoldfish
