This is some stupid shit, cutting back on prescribed medication is mental. Ever heard of a therapeutic window? There is a reason for the frequency at which medication has to be taken. Expecting a layman to regulate their intake of a life saving medicine is so out there I'm not even sure how to point out the ludicrousness.
This one just sounds stupid. Though, my parents started speaking a different language when they wanted to discuss a topic of which they did not want me to understand its content. This bothered me for various reasons (I also think it's bad parenting) and could cause misguided resentment towards different languages.
