Some call me eccentric, others call me eclectic. Old reprobate, lover of dogs (especially German Shepherds), excellent cook (or so I am told) and bread baker, and I love to eat. That’s probably why I’d be round if I was six inches shorter.

The most birbs I've seen at the feeder at once is seven. That was today. This is just after sunrise. Usually, there might be four birbs, and like you noted, they chase each other away from the feeder.
I love the little flying ballet they do when there are many.

Think about it like this, you've eliminated almost 9000 calories a month from your diet. Good for you!

Today, you'll see all 3 (but not on the same package) and it is left to the consumer's imagination what any of them mean. This is a decent news item in today's US News. Good read.

Yeah... my kids dubbed the wife, their mother, 'Splenda' because she is sooo sweet but everyone knows it's artificial and has no nutritive value. Enough said.

There are several garlicky cheese grits recipes out there in the ether. I just follow package directions then add stuff until it tastes good. Mainly, I add cheddar cheese and garlic but I've been known to add cream cheese and chives, too. When it comes down to how much to add, well measure with your heart.

When I started down the historical re-enactment trail everybody swore by sweet oil. Nobody seemed to know what was in it.
I even located an old pharmacy that had some... at $4 an ounce! I can buy a lot of sweet oil for that amount because sweet oil is simply olive oil.

We easily got 2" of rain in the hour the storm dumped on us. And hail! The front yard was covered with 1" balls!

I did the same thing when my physician was testing this old man's (my) mental acuity. The doc was not entertained either.
