I didn’t say I was a good engineer! Lol. Good point though, some gravity rollers maybe with a UHMW roller material to reduce noise and this would be done. I literally work with packaging chutes (only occasionally with luggage) and I didn’t have that thought.

As an engineer who designs very simple stuff like this, some of it actually in baggage handling, I can design and make you a machine to replace her for only 20x her salary…. If you want 3 or more though all subsequent units are only 1/2 her salary. A lot of jobs still have a human there just because nobody wants to pay the upfront cost to replace us. The pandemic plowed things about 10 years ahead in a single year though.
