It's called a "pitot tube" (or sometimes pitot probe). The blockage led to the captain-side airspeed indicator not working. This accident led to installation of new warning systems (airspeed disagree), new training programs, new quick-reference checklists for airspeed unreliable. The tragedy is unfortunate because, with the luxury of modern thinking/training and distance from the disaster, it's easy to see how many opportunities they had to correct the situation, but they lacked our context.
I think it's more intended for if you stop up your sink to fill it with soapy water for cleaning dishes and such, but you get distracted/pulled away from the sink and forget you have the water running. You probably aren't going to like your water bill, but at least you won't have water damage to deal with on top of that.
It's actually reasonable when you understand the complexities. For example, it's 6.4 billion Canadian dollars which is only about 4.5 billion USD. Considering the complicated technical challenges such as the fact that it is the longest cable-stayed bridge in north america, the fact that the total construction cost included the cost of building the port of entry checkpoint on the US side, and the volume of land on both sides (130 acres canada side, 145 US side).
You joke about this, but Hebrew is written right-to-left. Interestingly, I was able to find an article from November 2000 which indicated the Mitsubishi Mirage had an MSRP of $14,990, which means the 2024 Mirage with it's MSRP of $17,840 came in *slightly* lower than +25%. (+19%). Not that anybody bought a Mirage, which is why there wasn't a '25 or '26 model.

They genuinely are one of the largest providers of vaccinations in developing nations among other efforts, and unlike a lot of those other non profits that just kind of "trust us we're good", unicef has very extensive documentation on where each dollar is spent right on their website. So this style of keyboard is actually supposed to have two rows of function keys: F1-F12 and F13-F24. I assume the chosen key cap set did not have F13-24 but had F1-12 in a different colorway and so those keys were used instead. This design of keyboard was originally intended for stock trading, and the "extra" buttons would have been assigned to macros to speed up buying/selling/trading. Most of these buttons do not exist on common keycap sets, so you end up with several duplicated buttons.

The statute of limitations expired on September 30th, five days after the September 25th filing the previous charges were under. I mean, it's likely that Trump will try anyways, but I'd expect Comey's lawyers would get such a future charge dismissed with prejudice for that fact alone.
In the area I currently live, a baconator currently costs $8.19. If I were to go and individually purchase the ingredients required to make a baconator, it would cost me approximately $5.04 per burger built. If I'm willing to compromise and get frozen patties, cheaper bun, etc., I could squeeze that down to $4.35, just slightly above half, not accounting for tax, time, labor, etc.Of course, Wendy's has access to wholesale priced food and economies of scale, so it's safe to say they overcharge.
Can we talk about how insidious it is that the 70+ age group still has student loan debt? Like, yeah, I'm sure there's the occasional grandma who went back to school to get her degree, but that probably doesn't account for even half a percentage point. It's fucked up.
