The situation is key. If this was someone trying to protect a small child or another similarly sized animal, I think folks might have a view of it. I will acknowledge that this was a chaotic scenario for the officers who were actively engaged in an ongoing operation, but that doesn't mean he gets a pass to do whatever is easy. LEOs in the US generally receive below average training and screening when compared to their international contemporaries. IMO LEOs in the US need more training
I described many easily visually observable symptoms including physical behaviors related to movement. The dog wasn't charging at the guy, and I already suggested a viable alternative for you, physically restrain the 15 pound dog and secure it. If that was a K9 unit then they even have a vehicle specifically designed to contain a much stronger dog. Go watch some videos of dogs with rabies and how they behave if you don't believe me, it's not like this
Rabid animals look and behave very differently than what appeared in the video. Rabies causes slow muscle paralysis often manifesting as muscle spasms, twitching, or facial distortions; with the animal often lacking good coordination and lurching movements. You can see excessive saliva (frothing at the mouth) as they lose the ability to swallow. While it can cause aggressive behavior it doesn't always. Also, if you are fearful of a 15 pound dog kicking in people's doors isn't a good job for you.
That dog wasn't charging at him and it weighs all of 10-15 pounds. If you weren't able to just ignore it barking at you, I would recommend restraining it with your hands perhaps utilizing a collar. They could have done that and placed it in the back of one of their many vehicles until the situation can be sorted out

My recommendation is to learn or practice on a practical skill that can be useful in the days to come. For instance first aid. In large protests particularly with the violence we are seeing you could be a big asset to bystanders that are hurt by less than lethal measures like tear gas or rubber bullets. Put that big brain to work on something you can digest and process rather than the endless clusterfuck

I haven't had that type of egg so I couldn't honestly say. Hollandaise is basically butter whipped with egg yolk. The egg used here is similarly mixed, and based on the visual appearance of the cooked egg portion, it likely was thoroughly mixed so it might not be too far off from in texture
The hollandaise sauce is raw egg yolk
