Instead of looking at, you know, research and development projects that aren't making any progress and millions just being lost out in the wild they're instead looking to cut veterans benefits. So, you know, getting rid of the one of the very few reasons attractive enough for anyone to join the military on a voluntary basis.
The true October surprise is realizing that there are actually millions of people in this country actively voting for this shit. Don't get complacent, people. Get out and fucking vote.
An example: Our trash truck comes by with a large bin and an arm to lift the cans. Dad insisted that the guys physically lift the cans themselves to dump the trash. I insisted that they've always used the arm. He actually gets home when they come by and he watches the truck lift the can with its mechanism. He gets back inside, I tell him I told him so. "Well, that must be a new truck, then."
I'm usually of the opinion that if Trump had just kept his mouth shut and let the experts do their jobs during the 2020 Pandemic instead of stepping all over them and making bedfellows with religious nutcases and conspiracy theorists he would have easily clinched the 2020 elections. Typical Trump, though, he had to make everything about himself.

Modern politics requires younger people to get involved in order to effect any change.
