That was one theory they had before I asked for the right tests. I do get joint swelling and pain. It's dermatomyositis it can look a lot like psoriasis only skin biopsy and myositis panels can diagnose it.

Dermatomyositis

If you want to dm what your dealing with I can try and help you look for it. I had a an emergency gallbladder removal at the beginning of last year so I met my deductible and then I was determined to do all of the tests I could to find and diagnose my condition. We shouldn't suffer in silence.

Dermatomyositis I get calcification on my knees hands and elbows I have what is called mechanics hands when it gets really bad I get fissures that are very deep and can take months to heal. I also have skin build up and scaling around my nose and inside my ears my BP is getting out of control because it also affects your vascular system. There's also muscle weakness and pain. I'm tired a lot luckily I have a high pain tolerance so that has helped but the pain is still there.

My BP hasn't gone below 150/110 in weeks. I just stepped down from my management position and im cutting my hours back to 30 to just maintain health insurance. Fuck it, I'll never be able to buy a home but I want to fucking live.

It's taken me 15 years to find my own diagnosis of a rare autoimmune disease that doctors kept ignoring. I was told to loose weight, I did, I was told it's psoriasis it wasn't. When I figured out what is was on my own it took months to see a dermatologist to demand the right tests to get it confirmed then another year to get into rheumatology im still waiting on that appointment. The complications of my condition are getting worse and I just have to wait.

Yeah I'm sure breathing is going to clear my dermatomyositis right up ๐Ÿ™„ fucking tired of these clowns.

Q-tips in acetone work awesome or a very small paint brush in acetone. I cant paint inside the lines ever lol

Only took me over a decade of looking online and self diagnosing through research then demanding the tests and biopsies through a dermatologist while being told over and over it was definitely psoriasis to find out I have a super rare autoimmune disease that affects my entire body and can look like psoriasis but cant be treated that way. Always advocate for yourself. Only research peer reviewed medical articles. Us Healthcare sucks.

Go get a measles titer. I just did mine and even though I was fully vaccinated as a child my titer was too low for protection. I just got a measles vaccine a few days ago. Protect yourself and your community because these fuckers won't.

My brother recently tried to convince me to get a gun for self protection. I told him no. I keep my keys between my fingers and my rage ready to go. Im more likely to use a gun on myself. I was 3 years old.

"Your body keeps the score" is a book about cptsd it helped me process a lot.

I have cptsd and I stopped therapy. Talk therapy sessions just felt like being retraumatized. My therapist would be silently crying. I had/ have no support system to help me recover from talking about the things that hurt me. I have started getting back into creating art and pouring my pain into that. Ive accepted how alone my life is but I can still be kind to people and try and make friends and im learning to be more kind to myself. It's not easy. It can be painful work to build connections.

That is so well done! Did you do it yourself? There's so much happiness and pride in that smile that's the best part.

So after reading about this I remembered something from my childhood. I was about 10. We had just had picture day and some of us girls the next day were given invitations to do a beauty pagent. Not all girls were given these invites, just some of us. I asked my mom if I could do it because some of my friends were and it made me feel special to be invited. She said no and explained to me that these things are dangerous. Scary as shit to remember that now.

No countries with Healthcare worth a damn are accepting severely autistic children. I Have checked. We can seek asylum but we cant become citizens. That leaves us open to deportation back to America possibly separated, if trump demands us back to fill his money making concentration camps. We tried to find a way out. The risk is too great. Im fucking terrified for my kids. If we dont turn this around they will come for them. I need a country to welcome us and their disbalities.differentbutworthy

I am hispanic but half and I pass. I have a coworker who is also hispanic but much more dark skinned like my family. We've had protesters on the corner of our work street every day this week. Im so proud. My coworker, my friend asked me if I'd seen ICE, is that why the protesters are here? I said no and I've been watching for them. She said she's going to start carrying her passport. SHE IS A FUCKING VETERAN. SHE IS A MARINE. FUCK THIS NAZI BULLSHIT.!

Knowing how to make any fruit or vegetable into a smoking mechanism was just how you knew a back of house chef back in the day. Don't smoke off aluminum kids. Your boss can afford a new sieve, just save the broken one to cut more rounds when necessary.

I wanted to get my family out years ago but there is no acess for people with extreme special needs like my children. I protest, I vote. There is no path to citizenship for my kids in a a country with real Healthcare for their profound autism. If you can find one you let me know because we would happily gtfo of here.

Thats fucking beautiful!

Im not taking my kids. I have stayed away from the protests because I was afraid to take them. Im leaving them with family so I can go. My Dad took me to protests but this isn't the same America we used to protest in and my children are young and have special needs. I know I can't physically pick them both up and run if I needed to. That's what has stopped me. Even where its relatively calm you never know when an assult might happen. Speaking up is dangerous now. But we have to.

I have been afraid to protest. This was the shot heard across America. I should have been braver sooner. I will be at the protests this weekend, leaving my kids with family. Its pretty calm where I am but I have had enough. I walk my life in the things I belive but I have been a coward in action afraid that protesting could make me or my family a target. IM DONE! we are all targets to these jack booted thugs. Im an American and I say No to this bullshit regime! RISE UP!
