Yeah if you get in the front seat of a taxi they really don't like it whereas I feel getting in the back seat when you're the only one in the taxi here is kinda rude.

I think they're also running hot to make it look nicer and it could be the perspective but that nozzle looks bigger than 0.4mm as well which would impact it. Either way, this is not ideal 3d printing.

Meme? Shit this was in a Zits comic in the 90s and pictured a Sony Ericsson NH238 brick phone.

Yes but the engines will live on for many years because if they ever break you just hit them with a hammer until they work again.

There's a huge community of people restoring 50yo electronics *now* let alone 50 years from now. Restoring Apple IIs is totally normal.

This choice is literally where we got the Numenorians from leading to the line of kings of Gondor.

Even before the magic was fading people of that line were able to chose the Gift of Men. Elros, Elrond's brother, chose to be mortal.

The big thing is that it prohibits punishment for not answering. Yes, work can still call you, no you cannot be required to answer.

By no means am I some crusty old man trying to gatekeep Star Trek, having a normie/tumblr Star Trek is fine by me and if they want to make a Star Trek that is more like a fan fic, well people dig fan fics. More power to them. But to say Starfleet is not military and people who think it is missed the point, is in my opinion, missing the point. Star Trek shows us what nations are militaries could be if they focused on betterment rather than jealous guarding.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Starfleet continuously shows the value they place on life and the expectation they have of you being able to help those around you. One of Wesley Crusher's first tests, a psych test, required him to run into an exploding lab. A fitness expectation is not unreasonable and although Starfleet focuses primarily on diplomacy and exploration to say they are *not* a military organization is factually wrong, look at the wars with the Klingon, Borg, Romulans, Kardassians. Its what a military *should be*

I mean you don't even really have to know that. You can get an app where you select your brand of ammo, your rifle and it gives you a picture of where to aim with local weather and drop factored in. Trying to get a good sight picture in the second you have before SS shoots you though and knowing everything? Yeah, adrenaline saved Trump's life.

Depends on your definition of amateur. If you mean "just bought a gun never really used it" yeah you can miss at 200y. If you mean "Owns a gun but doesn't shoot comp, or shoots amateur comps" that's a dead easy shot. When I got my first guns I started doing matches at the local gun club and even I could get a 5 inch grouping at 250y with iron sights and a 90 year old rifle. I could also reliably nail a rabbit at 200y with a scope. Its not hard. The reason he missed is adrenaline.

One of my favourite quotes is "WWII was won with American steel, British intelligence and Soviet blood." which really sums up all of our unique contributions to the war. I mean, I'm Australian so our contribution was "so you need an entire desert continent cleared out with minimal resources eh? We call that Tuesday"

Maybe old firefighters. Climate change and lax regulation of building codes has resulted in a lot more fires and people being hurt in fires so a large proportion of your under 50 firefighters are pretty heavily left wing. At least in my service. End of the day, even those of us who have conservative views keep it private, it doesn't show up in our work.

I name them. My family don't respect my "we don't kill things that have names" rule. Huntsmen are frens, they don't make web, they chase away evil critters, they're pretty obvious about their movement and if they get a lil bit too close you can say "hey there buddy hows about some space" and the noise generally makes them look at you for a moment then wander off in another direction.
