Long time lurker, so I created an account (uh...I've been an imgur member for about 10 years.... so I've REALLY been around... before the giraffe and banana for scale! I still lurk). I guess you want all that good stuff right? I'm 38 yrs old. I live in the US and work in the oil field, globally. Though I work in house at the company- two weeks on, two weeks off. No holidays or weekends, and 14 hour days, but the time off is spectacular! My job is great, I get to play with mud all day. It’s an oil field thing. I'm a chemist, female, and French, hence the username (I've lived in the US most my life so I don’t have the cool French accent, but I'm more Anglophile- I heart UK). Plus, I mean... Marie Curie was the bomb. First woman Nobel prize winner, first double winner, first female professor at the University of Paris. She helped save lives baby! Look that shit up homie- or watch the documentaries (I’m not your mum). She was amazeballs. Also, I'd like to thank all the douchebags who downvote my gallery comments solely on the fact that it's, "not very imgur", ESPECIALLY those who haven't actually been on imgur for more than a year. It happens quite often when they read a crap comment I make. I guess if this ever makes this to the front page, I'll upload a picture of my boobs, bananas for scale. When imgur secret Santa came out, I had limited space so I added to the profile. More info for you: I have three fur kids (cats), Fred (4 yo, the baby of the group, and apparently a she...found out later- it’s okay, I nicknamed her Squee because she squeaks when she meows), and Tarzan and Xena, brother and sister Bengals (they’re 14!). They are my favourite little shits in the world. Smart as hell (they know how to turn on the tap, lights, even the thermostat, and open all doors and cabinets. They like chewing cords and enjoys knocking shit off anything. Tarzan learned on his own to pee in the toilet, Fred plays fetch, Xena brings me dead… socks- they’re indoor cats, maybe she thinks my feet are too cold) but too cute to ever do any scolding even. Like, I’m sure if I ever get burglarized they would stop to pet their soft bellies and that’s how they got caught. I'm a big movie and TV show nerd. Doctor Who being my favourite (yeah, I'm a Tennant fan girl). But no worries, 90% of the truly geeky movies and TV, I'm a fan of (superwholock doesn't even begin to describe it- if it’s been on TV via Netflix, Hulu, prime, HBO, etc. I’ve probably seen it. I think I have a memory issue because I forget episodes and rewatch everything when a new season comes out too). My birthday is May 4th, as it's Star Wars day, you can guess what my favourite Movie Series is- Harry Potter. Just kidding! It’s Star Wars (I do like HP though, technically those guys are my age right now). To be clear- that doesn't mean Trek<Wars, as I've always wanted to learn Klingon. Favourite all out movie: Fifth Element. I give props to anything Marvel, Firefly, Disney, DC (yeah… I know- but I’m a Flash girl, and Jason Mamoa), or Harry Potter, and Joss Whedon anything (which, I guess is more firefly... shhh- Jayne is my spirit animal). Don’t get me wrong, I love horror, drama, action, comedy and all those as well. I basically keep my tv on in the background while I get my life together in the real world. Maybe that’s my issue…. Seth MacFarland is one of my most favourite people in the world (outside of our lady Marie Curie). And Mythbusters (don't get me wrong, I love Bill too!) is my kind of science. Blow things up, test things, have fun with it! As with sci-fi movies- I like the concept of parallel worlds and flying the skies- it’s been a dream of mine to fly through space, and one day, I’ll go on the vomit comet, I swear it. I don't do gaming, I tried. I really tried. I do somehow have Nintendo everything. Though, it just sits there... collects dust (I used to be a fan of animal crossing I guess?). I also have an Oculus I use on occasion. Board games on the other hand, yes please! And yes I D&D (natural 20)! So I do that kind of gaming I guess? My current character is a rogue gnome. She’s adorable. And stabby. When I choose not to Netflix and chill (actual Netflix and chill), I get outside! I do garden. My mini backyard (seriously... super mini, like, <100 square feet) has a 36 pepper plant hydroponic system, 3 super vine-y tomatoes, 2 banana trees, two avocado tree, pomegranate, lime, nectarine, blood orange, kumquat and some goji berry trees. And I'm also growing kiwi and dragon fruit, and all the herbs you can think of. Except cilantro. I can't seem to grow cilantro. I've also grown radishes, carrots, lettuce, spinach, and probably a lot of other stuff. I'm ready for a zombie apocalypse food wise. Sadly, due to life, I haven’t always kept up with it. So, maybe wait a little on the apocalypse. I do think my science background helps as I do research into how to, and once I succeed I kind of give it up. Except cilantro (damn you cilantro!). I also LOVE water. Scuba has been the coolest best thing I've done (I'm an advanced diver now!) and there's nothing like swimming next to some small reef sharks while watching all the pretty things around you. Or getting bitten by eels off Bora Bora (yeah that happened! It’s my favourite story!). I guess it’s the closest thing to floating out in space I can get to. I’ve decorated my house with some of my favourites: sharks, squids, octopuses (octopi?)- basically all the danger stuff in there. I love travel! My biggest dream is to go to Australia though, country of Nope. But, also Country of the Great Barrier Reef, and the duck-billed platypus (my favourite animal!). Mais Oui! I can cook! And I wish I could say I'm like Hannibal Lector in the deliciousness of his recipes (not so much on the cannibalism), but, it's been a little difficult to cook with my job and stuff. I live on whatever is freezable at the moment (homemade freezable, not freezer freezable). But, I am a foodie! I also make my own wine. It’s the chemist in me. Also, thank you to Brewsy that for me started. My fridge is full of bottles I often gift- since I’m not a huge drinker of alcohol. I mean, it was great when I was dating an alcoholic? And I’m also more of a tequila girl (no Patron… that’s just a gimmick)? I do drink coffee… well, espresso. My brother got me a machine for my birthday once, and now I’m hooked. My sleep therapist says I should lay low on it though. Books. Don't get me wrong, I kindle, and even audible, but there's nothing like books. I'm a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Christopher Moore (Lamb is my go to book, and I think you should read it, regardless). I wouldn't mind finding out your favourite though! Even if it’s a picture book, or a colouring book! And I have a horrible (and slightly perverted) sarcastic sense of humour. It happens. I always wanted to be Clarisse in Silence of the Lambs. As in, a forensic psychologist- so crimes are my thing. I podcast the shit of that… like LOTS of podcasts are on my hearing list. True crime is amazing! (and the paranormal). I also watch a bunch of murder shows and movies (SNL skit “murder show” is basically me to a T). But, I know how to hide the body. Did I mention I’m a chemist? Just saying. That's me. I would suggest no shirts since I wear dresses (modified- it has pockets!) with leggings… and I have more hoodies than Texas should allow… like a million hoodies. Congrats on reading my novel!
