No one looked in the basement until my father was in his late 20' and this it was probably something my grandmother did just before she got cancer. She died in 1961. My father said he kept them for the curiosity, but I suspect nostalgia.

I am no Shakespeare scholar or British. The reason I think Shakespeare is so widely known rather than say Marlow (beside Marlow dying young) is because Connel and Hemmings made the first folio so that there was something to remember. Also his range. Comedies, tragedies, historic plays and strong female parts,. He also broke with many of the classic Greek rules and put comic scenes in his tragedies. He is accessible while Ibsen is heavy and dreary.

How is her theory about Ibsen (second most played playwrite in yhe world) for Norway sure as shit didn't invade anything and not even six million people can read Norwegian. Perhaps good writers manage to stir something in people and that's what makes them good

Remember at a social funcution a group were listening to a man about how his neighbour and him had started building a house at the same time. Neighboir had finished building his house while he was just finished doing the foundation. My place of work was once asked to be extras in a educational film about WW2. Only civilian employees were asked (not uniformed armed forces personell) to dress up as SS personell with actual real uniforms from my countrys armed forces museum. No slapstick allowed (probably because of the authentic uniforms) Everyone knows not to fuck around with racist/Nazi imagery if you are not an idiot.
Key difference in how it is executed from the look of it. If this aspirant started drowning , how would you know? Aspiring "marinejegere" are still subject to Norwegian military regulations regarding the risk involved in training. As far as I remember any water activity where you are above waist needs rope and boat. Any "swimming" required divers present. That the divers might add stress by pulling cocky aspirants still does not lessen the measures to ensure they don't die.
