They can't. That's part of why Wedgewood, Westinghouse, and O'Keefe & Merrit went out of business years ago. Now, most modern-day appliances last about 5-10 years before major electronics need replacing, and that can often run half the cost of a new unit, excluding brands like Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Miele.

Not even close. Coocktops usually range about $1-3k. Ovens, maybe $1-6k. Mind you, the high end is brands like Wolf, Miele, and Gaggenau. Nobody NEEDS those. They just pay for them because they want something with twice the lifespan of the cheaper brands.

I sell appliances, and we're still replacing these O'Keefe & Merrits 75 years after they were built. The problem with keeping them, is finding the parts. The reason they aren't around anymore is because you didn't sell a range to a person, you sold one to a family that used it for generations. It was unsustainable, and they, along with Wedgewood and Westinghouse all went extinct decades ago. Samsung/LG tend to last about 2-4 years. Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Miele, maybe closer to 20? The rest, about 8

Exactly. If you wanna be the deodorant fairy, be the deodorant fairy, but bring cans of spray-on deodorant to avoid the risk of cross contamination. I know worse things are spread through festivals like these, but still.
