And it is an even waaaay bigger savings to the company than if they had to pay their share of your insurance.
And that $20 a pay is way less then you would get as part of your pay package if insurance was part of it.
Yeah, not unheard of. Since benefits such as health insurance are a large cost to a company, many give a “bonus” to not take the benefit.
