Seems like it, unfortunately. However, I was mistaken in believing (or just misremembering/mixing things up) that instances of DV kinda matched the divorce rates. After a cursory check, DV rates seem to be similar (or higher) for same sex couples and straight couples. See link in my comment above.

In that case, I believe you'll be pleasantly surprised to hear that reports of domestic abuse are quite similar to those of divorce.
