I have been rescuing and rehoming orphaned kittens dumped at my county’s shelter for several years now. I also rescued and rehabilitated a former race horse I named Handsome and have spent 6 years retraining him as my riding buddy. I am a part time librarian in my city and love to help people researching and discovering all kinds of new things of interest. The kids are the absolute best part. It’s my mission to learn something new every day.
In 2014 Oregon passed anti-tethering/chaining law. Fences For Fido had to and still provides free yard fences for those who really need one for their dog. They also were instrumental in passing this critical piece of legislation.

The lithium ion battery in my robot vacuum cleaner exploded in my home 6 months ago. It took 3 fire extinguishers to put it out. Scorched the wall and filled my house with smoke. It was so lucky we were home!
I used to groan that my hubby was too insistent about having flashlights, pliers, and yes, fire extinguishers scattered around the house just in case something happened…and he was right!

I live in Southern California and the weather is absolutely ‘decadent’…mid 70’s to 80’s sunny, no clouds. Every single day. It’s perfect!

I hate zoos…when their giraffes’ genes get too close the are killed and fed to the big cats. They should join forces especially with funding with the countries in Africa who are trying to protect and preserve their wildlife on their land. One country is even ferrying giraffes across a huge river to enrich gene pools.

I serve so that our country can abide by the rule of law which is vital in our democracy.
More people will get out of federal jury duty if this continues to happen. Since I’m mad as hell, all the others must be too.
I have served as a jurist on a few federal cases and I would be massively angry with Trump pardoning boat loads of convicted and jailed criminals.
It takes a massive amount of time to reorganize my life once picked and then sitting for sometime weeks through these trials. Can’t tell you how boring it is but we do our very best to sort through piles of evidence and transcripts to reach the correct verdict.
Then this piece of shit just decides on a whim ( or bribe) he collects to trash it all >

I so wish that people would stop breeding cats …and dogs for that matter when our shelters continue to euthanize them just for space.

I love her! She appears to cook for her dogs just as I do for mine. I have 2, 40 lb. dogs and cook 14 lbs. of food for them per week. Half goes into the freezer. I do add a small amount of tiny sized kibble for trace minerals.
But she must have an industrial sized kitchen, refrigerator and freezer to make the huge amount needed or has more time on her hands than I do. Lucky doggos!

My Marley is 18 and has hypothyroidism. The vet orders a cream in a tube that is precisely measured out then I rub it inside of her ear. Transdermal is a game changer for my old girl. She gets an oral dose of gabapentin for arthritis pain but every thing else with her is excellent. I knew she was too old to learn your pill taking trick. So cool!
