Bongland mid gen-x programmer living in N-E England. Fuck cancer, hug kittens.

Yes indeed. After that it's back to Joseph Stiglitz.

A beautiful, exquisite void. Not much I know, but to you I offer my sympathies.

I appreciated the inclusion of Tomoe Mami-san.

Was taking the piss, to extremes. Hope to see someone else running with it.

My partner is going through The Buffalo Hunter Hunter and seems to appreciate. I'm taking a break from economics/journalism and just finished Men in Love and am partway into Skagboys. Looking forward to getting back to the cold clear heartless mechanisms that will all pull us under though,

In Aliens, in the opening sequence you see the depths of space into which the queen alien is dismissed. But I'm not certain whether that's Chekhov's gun or situational irony.

Might have to piss about on gen 6 and the random trade thing. Will never hear about it but could be amusing.

OK, I'll stand corrected. Still have that song earworming me though.

Was there birthmarks all over her body? Haven't heard that song in ~30 years, but parts of it stuck.

Nothing there that needs forgiving. A great reminder from a great man, who died of aids. Not because he was a homosexual, not because he was sexually promiscuous, and not because he used drugs intravenously. No, he rolled the dice and was fatally infected by a tainted blood transfusion. RIP you magnificent bastard, you inspired far greater people than I, but me too.

That is quite the collection. Few I recognised, some raped my innocent eyes. Well done.

I had an account on an old Brit bulletin board years ago. Due to it being late 1990s/early nothings, e-mail addresses were far more transient than they are now. I suspect I signed up with LineOne, which got borged into some other provider, then I think wound up with Orange (now Everything Everywhere). Password is long since forgotten, and the e-mail account doesn't exist anymore as far as I can tell. Bit rot doesn't just happen to websites.

It's so fucking tiring. What's even worse is the soft lines like 'well, I know you're more educated than me but...' hell, that person is just going to be a contrarian. Don't pretend for a second that there's a single bit of respect for my opinion, which is to consult someone that's studied this.

Nah, while it will be a bit sad if they off themselves because of fear-mongering and scientific illiteracy, it's even worse that they might fuck up the life of an innocent, that's immunocompromised.

What amused me, was tales from the trenches where some antivax fuckwit was in Hoss 3with some variant of C-19, begging for the vaccine. Medical staff were like "too late". Absolute FAFO.

I've been a programmer for close to 40 years but will of course will listen to someone who programs, because what the heck if they haven't spotted something I haven't? But with A-level biology I'm sure as fuck not going to argue with a medical professional over something I can gamble my life over.
