I was born and raised in OKC and spent most of my life there, so I get it. Most of my memories, good and bad, are there, too.Yeah, Oklahoma sucks, but my beef is with the institutions, not individuals. And while I'm generally very happy to be living in Appalachia now, there are a few things I miss: the big sky, the most gorgeous sunsets I've seen anywhere in the world, and the best Vietnamese food in the country!

Our boy is wearing stivania, a style of leather work boot native to Crete, where they are part of the nation's traditional folk costume and are still widely worn today. The accordion-like creases are characteristic of the boot, but they're not usually worn pushed down like this and I've never seen them belted at the top before
