This is true, however it's offset by the ample local supply of leeches for bloodletting. You don't even have to go looking for them, they'll come and seek out the injured all on their own!
Here's another lie to add to the pile: They've at least two children who they aparently carted halfway across the world to california while they studied pediatric surgery or some shit, and then uprooted them again to return to japan. So even if they're telling the truth, they're also kinda a shitty parent. Also they claim that only japan teaches kids about nutrition and exercise.This post explains why they blocked me after I called them out on that one
Which, compared to just buying steak and directly cooking it however one wishes to, is rather more involved. I don't know if the shop you go to carries liver sliced into steaks with the major blood vessels and the outer membrane removed, but where I live I've never seen beef liver carried in a butchers, it's something you'd have to get as a special order. Which means getting a 4-6 kilo whole beef liver, and either paying extra to get it trimmed or trimming it yourself. Prohibitive.
You should broaden your horizons dude, offal is great and adds a lot of variety into your diet. But if liver in particular is off putting (which is understandable, it's a strong taste taken on its own) I can also strongly recommend kidney, brain, gallbladder, gizzard, thymus/pancreas, and (of course) hearts. Poultry offal is a good strarting point, with something like confit gizzard being particularly lovely. It's got a mild, well balanced flavour paired with a pretty normal 'meaty' texture
Liver is delicious. You only really see it in fine dining restaurants around here, certainly not a typical working man's fare. Still is pretty inexpensive, but the labour involved in the finer preparations is a bit prohibitive, and unless you like very chewy blood vessels you kinda need it.
I dunno man, fleeing through a mangrove swamp at night, after having lost a battle, terrified of being pursued and/or shelled by your enemy; all while whatever comrades you've linked up with stumble and drown or die from their injuries or kill eachother in fear is pretty damn scary

These used to be a common feature of salons and barbershops the world over because it makes it easy to communicate what you're looking to have done. That being said in an extremely conformist culture significant variety won't be common, and best Korea does have fashion regulations which apparently bans (amongst other things) having an untidy 1/2
