I've been referring to the fact that hormones effect your mood and that's especially true while you're still very young
I've never considered it a mental illness. A mental state however, sure. I tried learning about how social situations around children effect them while growing up, and how, as a teacher, I could be a positive part of that without making other children want to bully them for liking a teacher lol. Teachers were great to me while I was growing up, I have autism, ADHD and tourettes and without their support I'd have been kicked out of school for fighting all the time.. Wanted to give that back lol
The concept is still very new, honestly. I think in one or two decades it will be the norm though. I hope I'm still alive to see it lol
