Not ideal, but avoid tumble drying as much as possible. Less common but look out for 'discharge' printed garments, it actually takes the dye out of the garment and replaces with the print, so it is the garment, not something sat on top that can fall off. You can feel the difference, super smooth and soft, no thick ink.
Had this with a shit print company my (ex-)boss insisted we use, 3 times. All useless merch (not band merch). Hopefully the print co. learn/go out of business quickly because it's so damaging for the middle companies (bands) who don't necessarily know there's an issue til loads have been sold and then they look like the bad guys.
