It was actual socialism by definition of the word.
The means of production belonged to the state, economy was planned and governed by state organs, people had no private property.
And socialism inevitably, by it's intrinsic properties is economically inefficient and politically oppressive. Prone to bureaucratization and corruption.
Each and every socialist state has demonstrated that.
All that "they did it wrong" so popular among western leftists is a no true scotsman fallacy.

IDK how did they solve the issue. And frankly, I am not interested. Maybe the requirement has being removed. Though I doubt that, as automotive industry is quite conservative.

As socialist as it gets in practice.
And no, I am not interested in theoretical speculations of what socialism should or could be. Only in experimental proof of the theory. Which... inevitably produces a shithole.

Last time I checked, steering and brakes legally where required to have a mechanical connection all the way through. The rule was set when electronics was considered less reliable than mechanics. And frankly, loss of electric power is still a considerable risk, even if electronics itself is quite reliable nowadays.

I grew up in Soviet Union, and as you correctly noted, it was a shithole.

No true Scotsman, right.

Really? Karl Friedrich Benz got quite famous. For building first car. And made it into a business that is still going strong over 100 years later.

If you know any of history, the automotive industry is the best example of triumph of capitalism over socialism. None of the socialist countries was ever on par with capitalists on designing and building consumer cars. And frankly, most of the population of socialist countries are too poor to afford a car. I once was in the zoo where the elephant could reach it's trunk over the fence barely so much the visitors could give it some treats. Everyone knows about "don't feed the animals", but naturally who could resist the 4" snout scrabbling over the fence? I gave it an apple (most of the people did). The breath coming out of that hose was hot and wet. And the force it pulled the apple out of my hand... the elephants force.

Also I think the movie owes much of its success to music pieces by Gershwin brothers. IDK if the modern remake can match that. They could adapt the scores to modern mass culture. But would it fly?

I don't think the audience who is into such thing woild appreciate rap or hiphop. And vise versa.

The airliner, even a smaller one, is much less responsive whan a small plane or a fighter plane, especially the computer games one.
Also she is doing quite a large but very short inputs. The inertia of the aircraft won't allow it to react drastically to such a short input.

PE is recyclable. The question is, is it actually collected and recycled. When the jugs, bottles and bags are thrown into trash, bags are definitely more nature friendly.
