That is a good point, I don't think anyone has thought of. The point of that story is to adopt before he ages out of the system.

And we are less than an hour to OK. I think it has to do with wanting to be able to allow the child to see birth parents if they still want
My wife and I already inquired, but we are licensed in TX not OK, so unless we move there and get licensed again we can't.
