At the Eno River park in eastern Orange County in north central NC
Yep. The Eno starts in Orange County and merges with the Flat River in adjacent Durham to form the Neuse River which flows past New Bern to the Pamlico Sound in NC
Maybe, but this is in North Carolina
Sadly, you will never be able to stop giving that kitty ear scratches. Eventually, your arms will fall off. That’s the price for having that kind of fuzzy friend.

What are they?
Exactly!!!
The big ones are cowhorns. The smaller ones are a mix of hot chilis, arbol chilis and there is a tiny Thai pepper in there somewhere. I also have Carolina reapers, ghost peppers, jalapeños, Tabasco, cayenne and a few others planted. All together, they will yield 1-2 quarts of peppers. I’ll buy 5 galllons of cayenne at the NC Farmers Market, adding other peppers that look interesting. I’ll also buy 5 gallons of dried arbol chilis from a local store.All that will make 10 gallons of hot sauce
I can never tell the difference between herons, cranes and egrets. Thanks for letting me know what this one is.

When Maya Gallo (Laura San Giacomo) said a photo of her was “too sexy”, Elliott DeMauro (Enrico Colantoni) replied, I understand the word “too” and I understand the word “sexy”, but when you put them together like that, it’s just gibberish. More than 20 years later and it still makes me smile. BEST LINE EVER!

Yes, the fully snow is still here after several days. Rare for central NC.Also, yes to the second thing. That is more of a bridge than a tunnel, but it’s just for the train track above.
Yea, very peaceful. I live in northern Durham and am lucky that there are so many places to enjoy nature. The Eno River has at least a dozen access points and the Little River Park, Brumley Nature Preserve, Hollow Rock Nature Preserve, Duke Forest and Duke Gardens are all within a 15 minute drive.

My 82 year old mother is from Louisiana and when she joined the navy right out of high school, she was stationed in New Jersey. People would ask about growing up there. She said she rode an alligator to school. Well, not all the way. Just to the bus stop.
