Honestly, convincing literally any conspiracy theorists this will not only be easy af, but will be so beneficial to the human race.

It's more than I did on Saturday to protest. Was it more than you did? Let's stop bashing each other about the right way to do it, and each take action in our own way as best we can. Don't let perfection be the enemy of good. (I'm assuming I agree with you that) a national labor strike or blocking main roads and such might be more effective in proving a point/getting attention, but it's not nothing, which is what I did on Saturday, and to that I raise my glass to my partners in the fight.

Can anyone explain the 'birth years of the continental congress' one? Why are they 19--?

We do call it PTSD instead of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder though because it’s easier to say but also it hides those words (to his point again)

Same question

Yes and no. Definitely to some extent, but I also think people are terrible at seeing nuance in the age of the internet. Would I have done it? I would like to think no, but I don’t know what his justifications were. People are complicated. Doing one bad thing doesn’t mean you’re dead to me. All I’m saying is I don’t have enough information. I think he brings more good to the world than evil from what I’ve seen.

This.

We need to be able to see nuance. No one is all the way good or all the way bad. We all make mistakes. Bringing comedy to Riyadh is maybe a mistake, but maybe not. Supporting/legitimizing their regime is obviously bad, but so is not providing outside voices on anything. Was it worth it? I don’t think so, but I don’t know. I would be interested to hear his defense of it at least.

Will he vote for the ACA? Gun control? Climate initiatives? One bad votes doesn’t mean they are dead to me. Would it be great to have someone better? Probably? Is the alternative a Republican that is far far worse? Almost certainly.

Anyone else think he had long hair like the krypt keeper from looking at the thumbnail of this?

I'm not sure it's the worst thing yet. Time will tell. My initial reaction was anger also, and I think it's somewhat deserved, but there's a reasonable chance the larger scope of what Dems did here helps them regain power in 2026, which may actually matter more in the long run.

The _baby_ Colin Robinson?!

That’s wild! I suppose if it’s car crossings it’s less wild cause it’s more skewed towards people that live near the border, and that’s … basically all Canada is. But still! Anyway, cool stat. Also I don’t blame Canadians for not wanting to come here and maybe get sent to CECOT

Right--isn't this statistic ... always true?! Would be wild if not.
