7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Honestly.. laying in bed and I can't for the life of me remember if mine has one or not.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, TIL that my laptop is not a Lenovo. Thanks @OP

true story - i used to be a supervisor at a call center that did support for lenovo thinkpads - around the time they started adding this

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

feature to their business line of laptops (the ones that run 3,000+ dollars. i had a guy call in who had bought one, and gotten some unfun

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

programs installed from some sketchy adult websites. he called in, fucking FURIOUS. once i got the full story out of him it turned out that

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

he had taken the laptop to best buy and they told him they’d have to completely wipe the computer to get it clean. him being an idiot, he

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

decided he could do it himself, and because the laptop was “waterproof” (note - actually “water resistant”) he took it home and put it in

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even the Lenovo only works if you keep the laptop level. Tilt it and you’re still fucked.

7 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Wait, then how does water comes out??

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It drains out holes in the bottom. If it’s not level though, it misses the holes or runs out of the channels and gets on the boards.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Apple doesn't give a fuck either. Not even sealed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yup, I have only seen this on lenovos personally. Sample size: 4 modern laptops, 2 lenovos, 1 HP, 1 Asus.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

TIL there's something useful on my shitty Lenovo laptop

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but the conditioner one? Put some water in a filthy tub and let it sit for 2hrs to unshrink a short? Aintnobodygottimefordat!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like there might have been easier ways to find out that you could have tried first.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. Bringing the water to the laptop was indeed a hassle, should have chucked the ol' thing into the pond.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1 doesn't exist :( Keyboard shortcuts https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12445/windows-keyboard-shortcuts

7 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

Yes it does. But he forgot to mention you have to highlight the text you want to change. Then shift F3

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's ok, at least your data isn't being sent to the Chinese government.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BRB, I'm off to pour a beer into the keyboard of my ThinkPad!

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I like when some of these are fake and you breeze by it, then go hey, wait a minute. Lol

7 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 1

Are there real ones mixed in there?

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Almost all are real

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The airdrop one is almost real, except instead of memes it's malware and threats

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

shift+3 works in Word!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My car does the unlock thing... Honda civic

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My Civic will unlock all the doors, but I don't think it opens the windows.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The zipper one is a lie. I just spent like 5 minutes in front of my family playing with my zipper muttering "Oh that one is bullshit."

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

My fiancee's pants zipper does lock but mine doesn't. Damn you Old Navy.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They lock but pointed down, not up

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Plenty of zippers do lock

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Why isn't the microwave thing printed on microwaves?

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Didn't work on mine

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

While pressing 2 did not work for me, it did lead me to read the panel on the interior with instructions. Microwave is now silent! Woohoo!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WHAT WERE THE INSTRUCTIONS

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There's a button called "user pref" and I had to press 4.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And what, If like me, it only has a dial?

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Dial it to 2 and hold it there!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What does notarize mean?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Notaries check your official ID, watch you sign something, then stamp the document w/ their credentials to verify that it's really your sig.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like a witness? Or a Qualified witness?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds similar to a qualified witness, but a notary also holds a license from the state. I'm not sure if a qualified witness does too

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They also record your address and title of your document in a ledger, and have you sign there too in case a comparison ever needs to be made

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shift-F3: Find in page

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Also Control F

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So it's not a magic un-cap function?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It is in Word

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe in some other program

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Word processors. I just confirmed it with Libre Office.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Libre Office?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A successor to Open Office. It's free.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lenovo. Can confirm it does NOT have that feature!

7 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 4

NOT all the models, they ususally put it on their big Thinkpad lines

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not ALL?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lenovo ThinkPads have them drain holes.

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Can confirm. My ThinkPad has them. They're marked with this icon https://cdn.geekwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Thinkpaddrain1.jpg

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Like others have mentioned, I think it's the newer think pads. My 4yo w541 has them

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's in some business line laptops, from Lenovo, Dell and HP, the Lenovo yoga doesn't have them I don't think

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The yoga that we buy at work uses them. I real

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technology for 18 years and a masters in technology and I never knew about #1

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've done it on accident a couple times. Could never recall what keys I was pushing

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think they forgot to add the part where it only works in MS Word or the like.. Cause in Firefox it brings up the quick search..

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

In LibreOffice Writer, it cycles between all caps, capitalised initials and hmmm all not-caps.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m gonna try that airplane bathroom door this. Watch the expression of the person in the bathroom when I bust in!

7 years ago | Likes 397 Dislikes 6

I've seen a kid do it on an airplane so much he was forced away from the lavatory by the flight waitresses.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@nevadajim: busts through airplane door Person taking a dump: ?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

7 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

Bust in what

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

That’s how flight attendants catch smokers and other trouble makers. Also how we INOP a toilet when we wanna reserve it for ourselves ;)

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Remember to yell OH YEAHHHHHHH!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure the air marshall will have an issue with that.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I saw a kid do it on a flight 3 times in a row. There was no air marshal, instead the flight waitresses sternly had the kid get away.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*vicious beating by Air Marshall intensifies*

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And now you are a sexual predator.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

-{deleted}

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's how the staff get in when there's an emergency

7 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. Was on a flight where a guy had a heart attack and died in there and had to lift the door to open it from the outside.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Also how they lock the bathroom doors for take-off and landing.

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

I work for a major credit card company, we definitely do not offer extended warranty or theft protection for the crap people buy

7 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 12

What about rental car insurance?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Visa user here, I've used theft protection several times. I use the rental insurance every time I travel.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Alot of australian credit cards do, but you have to have like the gold version of their cards

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Just received my new card in switzerland and it does hace all the features exposed in the post

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Visa does this. One of the reasons why I'm still their customer.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

My MasterCard had both.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You must work for discover

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My Chase Sapphire card does. I've used extended warranty on an iphone I bought as well as insurance when a rental got broken into.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Love that card

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Costco Visa has this.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I love the built in table in my CRV. It's great when you're camping.

7 years ago | Likes 446 Dislikes 5

.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Chevy HHR has it too

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am saddened our CRV did not come with this feature

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These actually came out prior to 2000, I had a 1998 CRV that had this :)

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

My ‘98 CRV had one, too. Best car ever.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love crap like this in vehicles. There was a GMC I believe that had a built in air compressor that would be super useful.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

My wife's Envoy had that. Super useful for swim toys and balls because it came with the adapters. The hose reached all 4 tires too.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I have a 99CRV from Japan and it has that table too. There's even a hole in the middle for an umbrella!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

First car was a 2002 handed down from my 3 siblings. There was a collection of memories stored under that table

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And in the backseat.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Depending on the year, the space *under* the table is watertight and can be used as a cooler. Don’t drive with ice in it though. Slosh!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was buying a car, looking different brands, and came to find that secret table. It skew all my comparisons

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The day I accidentally came across the one in ours was a good day

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely hoping to find this in my 2006 CRV tonight!

7 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

Dot CRV table

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Omg guys I'm so sorry - I haven't looked yet. I'm sorry. It's because of the way that I am.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's been over two hours already. Do you have one or not??

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok everyone 6 months later I finally checked today and YES MY CRV HAS A PICNIC TABLE

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now I want to check my eldest aunt's CRV...

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a real thing?

7 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 3

Honda Elements have a similar thing. It's the lid to where the spare tire is, but not all of them came with the legs. Easy to make some tho.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just asked my coworker who has a 2006CRV. He confirmed its true

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I have a 2001 crv and use the table regularly. It's awesome.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I almost bought an 06 when I was shopping just for the table.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure my 97 cry had one too

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why you cry for a whole year

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yea! Families do it all the time out here, in the summer especially. Tents are popular, RV's not so much. Bring wood and marshmallows.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

>_>

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but not all of them have it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They all did originally.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I kept it when my 2004 CRV got totaled.

7 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

We still have 2 around the house from CRVs before they got totaled

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh, I'm car shopping and that's in my price range

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

The table that is, I'm poor
