Tyson is now up to $225M in 'settlement' deals in less than a year for price fixing. This is on top of JBS and Cargil already having settlements in place along with ongoing litigation.
Yeah, the deal lets them 'admit no wrongdoing', but everyone knows they only settled because they knew they were going to lose and pay a shit ton more.

Many years ago, PETA--before they had a terrible reputation--went after the meat industry. Tyson, along with Wendy's and some others, hired a famous astroturfing organization to badmouth PETA. All the "information" about how "evil" PETA is, including the entire "petakillsanimals" website, was set up by them and paid by Tyson, Arby's, Wendy's etc.

Useless penalty... the settlement should be the entirety of what they profited plus a 50% interest charge, the CEO and the entire C-suite bunch's salary during the time (paid by them) plus court costs, plus shipping and handling.
