I've been in alot of those waters and when something about 4 feet wide and very dark (orca maybe) swam right under me I have not gone back in since.

Most of these locations are on the east coast, where orcas are exceptionally rare since there are no established pods in the Atlantic. Florida is listed many times, could it have been a manatee there?

The Lesser Grasslands Tree Shark... one of the few land shark species that can survive the hot humid summers of Oklahoma. Though they generally prefer to pose as pizza delivery people while hunting, some can still be found nesting in oak trees on the borders of roadways where they lure their prey by pretending to be acorns.
