She's too 'cute' to be Morticia. Morticia is supposed to be elegant, not adorable, and Gomez is supposed to be shorter than her, a bit rounder in the face, not as conventionally handsome. Nothing against Curry and Hannah, but they are not Raul Julia and Anjelica Houston.
So this movie is a surprise. As much as I love Tim there is only one Gomez for me, Raul Julia. And Daryl doesn't feel right for this. Although, looks like Tim could have owned this if Raul hadn't done it first.
How could the lighting be too bright and still too dark at the same time. Its like they tried to make sure you saw every unflattering shadow possible. The make up is both too much and not enough and the kids act like moving wooden statues. Shot wrong, cast wrong, and I am not sure there even was a script. Feels like the worst improve. And I love Tim. Wow this is bad.
"At home", what do you mean? Addams Family Reunion had a much lower budget and Raúl Juliá had passed away, so I would argue it is pretty good work to be able to get Tim Curry and Darryl Hannah for Gomez and Morticia.
It GENUINELY looks like it was made by a senior in high school with a $1,000 budget. And that’s being a bit generous. And it’s not even that they cast bad actors, it’s just that not only did they cast the wrong people for the roles but the film quality itself is painful.
I dunno, Tim Curry seems like a pretty right answer for Gomez Addams. I could see that working very well. I get that it didn’t here, but I would have been willing to give that another shot if it had been up to me.
Imagine how bad something would have to be for Tim Curry eating scenery to be memory holed. People repost his 40 seconds of FMV from an RTS game every 9 seconds, but this is practically forgotten media
Raul Julia and Anjelica Houston were so iconic that they were basically impossible to follow up on with a new cast. Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones are both fantastic in Wednesday, but it took thirty years to get out from the shadow of those two legends.

Look I know that show (Wednesday) is like AMAZING it anything but it was fun and it could have been worse, I think it was some enough and interesting enough to watch,
But they were TERRIBLE. holy moly. I thought we all knew that and were just being too nice to say it because it should've been great and everyone tried their best
She is… not a great actress. I do love her in a few movies (no reservations, though when I found out that Aaron eckhart was a dick to jones and Abigail Breslin it’s made it hard for me to like it anymore, and Entrapment) but she’s seems to range from ‘dissociating from reality’ to ‘we could replace her with a fence post’ in her acting skills.
Unfortunately that's what middle parts can do. Il thinner hair as a woman and I learned the hard way with trends. Weird tho is that they def have weave budget (l don't lol).
