Always get downvoted for pointing out that... some of the most successful organisms on the planet are DUE to us taking them under our wing. I use the term successful as in they have managed to thrive and populate well. (IE it isn't 'good' for the singular chicken or cow, but it has allowed their species to explode in numbers) - The same is true about those we take as our companions. If we WERE able to (Safely) take pets such as bobcats, cheetahs,etc as pets, the species would be saved.

I'm with your sentiment, except for faith in potential execution. No one who is against exotic pets has faith that most people - or anyone, maybe - *could* solve the issues of keeping them happy and healthy and keeping other people safe at the same time. I transferred a bobcat kitten to a reserve. The cute little "biscuits" it made shredded my protective gear, and it wasn't even trying to hurt me. It's kitten claws were razor sharp talons.

That cat is a fierce predator driven by strong instincts. Unless neutered it will develop a strong mating drive. It longs for movement in a large territory that it marks by spraying urine. It stalks anything that is not clearly larger than itself and will attack to kill.
It is not a fucking domestic cat. Unless it will be able to live its nature will suffer. The „owners“ will have to cope with aggressive behaviour, strong odours and restless nights. This little clip is misleading.
The difference between a wild cat like a bobcat or serval and a domestic cat (and before you push your glasses up, I mean domestic as in domestic short hair) is staggering. Your domestic cat is very content to cuddle with you. Bobcats and servals are solo creatures. They, by design don't want that much 'attention'. This rubbing all could be a stress reaction. Your house cat can hump or purr when stressed out, too, doesn't mean they are happy.
WILD animals need to stay such, for their own sake.
Domestic cats have 10 thousand years of being bred and selected to be docile. And they are compared to dogs still feral. We see a lynx (bobcat) in this video that is still a wild animal. It pains me to see it so degraded.
