When your daughter doesn't like the shirt you made her for her birthday, but you can't bear to waste the yarn.

My besty has 16 month old twins, so I am getting practice! The ball in this shot is for them.

Kids can be brutal.

Nah I asked her to be honest. I'd rather spend another week on something she likes than have this sit in her closet forever. I should have just not made it a surprise and consulted her from the beginning. Still hurts to frog it though.

Wow, what a bitch. Glad you can save the yarn, anyway.

We just go around calling peoples' children bitches for having personal preferences..?

If your mom lovingly made you a sweater that you told her - to her face - that you didn't like, I don't have another word for you.

I asked her to be honest with me, so she was. I want her to actually wear what I make.

Noooo! All that lace work! :( Unraveling onto that swift looks super satisfying, though.

It can be with the right yarn. I buy thrifted sweaters and unravel them to use the yarn and omg the last one I did was so satisfying.

Reusing thrifted sweaters sounds ambitious! I tried once, but didn't have a swift so I wrapped the yarn around some chair legs. It really wanted to tangle, and I don't think I ever used it. I should see if it's still around and find a project for it.

Yeah the swift is a must. And many commercially made sweaters are double stranded thus my double swift to unwind both strands at once.

I hadn't thought about that before, but it makes sense!
