Bill plays John Garrett, A member of HYDRA that is undercover as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D, in the last episode of season 1 the character Deathlok(http://marvel-movies.wikia.com/wiki/Michael_Peterson) who had previously been under Garrett's control due to Garret holding his son captive until he was rescued by other members of Coulson's team, after Coulson's team shows Deathlok that his son is safe Deathlok chooses to kill Garrett for his wrongdoings or so we believe until the last scene where Garret crawls into a cradle that gives him parts similar to that of Deathlok in an attempt to sustain himself, after the procedure Garret almost completes his sentence before Coulson shoots him with an "0-8-4" Designated Item(The Plasma Particle Beam) Instantly Gibbing Mr.Paxton
