Useless Facts, Badly Dumped for your morning dump <3

May 20, 2026 2:42 PM

This gave me a headache trying to figure it out, because it also counts as a "horseshoe orbit" even though it only looks like one moon is doing a horseshoe orbit from the perspective of the other moon.

Bonus fun fact: The actor who has dropped the most on-screen F-bombs is NOT Samuel L Jackson (he doesn't even crack the top 3) but Jonah Hill in first place, with Leonardo DiCaprio in second by most accounts. Joe Pesci and Al Pacino also rank pretty high. But it's tricky to confirm this, because some lists count all profanity, while others only count the F-bomb specifically, and the lists don't clarify this.

Another strip that had people yelling that it isn't true, even though I provided multiple news sources. Another commenter accused me of animal cruelty lol

Bonus: there's accounts that as Alexander walked away, he remarked to his entourage "were I not born Alexander the Great, I would choose to be Diogenes," and apparently Diogenes heard this and said "were I not born Diogenes, I, too, would choose to be Diogenes," but sadly this has not been confirmed by proper historians and is more like an anecdote / legend made up after he died.

There's also another interpretation that what Diogenes said was more like "take me out of the darkness," a clever double meaning expressing his deep desire for enlightenment. But historians point out that this kind of phrasing wouldn't make sense in his original ancient Greek, as cool as it sounds.

My 500th strip!

A friend of mine is a big Star Trek fan and suggested the joke. The bonus being, it's technically true, because most black holes have a lot of glowing stuff orbiting them (with the exception of naked singularities), so it's the kind of thing Spock would say lol.

Obligatory self-insert!

You'd think she'd have seen that coming smh

Brilliant minds at work

Another great example of a fact getting twisted about and exaggerated to make it more interesting until it's no longer true lol.

Absolute madlad, etc

Also, please do check out my book! I've sold very few so far and I'm absolute crap at marketing / promoting it, though I'm trying. I can't even post the link coz Imgur won't let me, so just search for "Useless Facts Badly Drawn" on Amazon and it'll pop up worldwide :)

Thanks for reading <3

#8 I watched that episode during the nightshift between September 10 and 11th 2001 when I worked at the Swedish Military HQ.... A few hours later I was woken up as colleagues rushed into my room screaming "USA is under attack, a 747 just crashed into WTC". Me still groggy from waking up from this replied "No.. They missed the building when they lost the connection". Then I saw the TV in the background.

Well, at 1900K I would've expected it to glow like a candle flame too.

u just sold another copy (physical, not for Kindle). thanks from Germany!

Thanks so much! Hope you like it!

#3 reminds me of The Big Lebowski - The Fucking Short Version.
You can almaot follow the plot just based on the Fucks alone.

#12: Herzog endured years of working with Klaus Kinski. A shoe meal and cactus bath are like a wellness holiday from that.

#4 it’s just a little airborne, it’s still good

#7 I must correct you there, at 1800K the whole planet would glow a bright orange in the visible spectrum
It would still emit mostly in the near infrareds, but would be very very far from dark to us ^^

#2 The inner moon is slightly closer to Saturn than the outer (about 50km closer). This means it orbits Saturn about 30 seconds quicker, so after a VERY long time it will catch up to the outer moon. Before they can quite pass one another, they start pushing on one another, meaning the inner moon coming from behind starts going faster and the outer moon slower. This has the effect of pulling the inner moon to a higher orbit and the outer moon to a lower orbit. And then the dance repeats.

Thank you. That’s a simple, easily understood explanation.

(I meant they start pulling on one another. I done goofed, sorry.)

So actually, the drawing is inaccurate. It is the moon that starts on the outside that should be ahead of the other one, both before and after the orbit swap.

Well I mean it’s called Useless Facts *Badly Drawn* it’s right there in the title.

#1 Horses may not be able to vomit but they sure can do one thing.

That was probably a collic treatment. I've been on group chats waiting for the update that a horse finally farted and isn't going to die.

I can’t begin to imagine the relief.

#7 Point of order: "naked singularity" doesn't mean it lacks an accretion disk or isn't accreting matter, it just means the singularity is not hidden by an event horizon, e.g. when it has enough angular momentum for the event horizon to not completely cover it.

Where was South Park bigger longer and uncut put on the most f bombs list?

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Haven't seen the flick, but I did a quick Google of the script. A quick search turns up 142 instances of "fuck" including other variants like "fucker" or "fucking". Different websites gave different counts, so I went with the highest one. The film is 81 minutes long, or 4,860 seconds long. That means there"s an instance of "fuck" every 34.23 seconds. Relatively tame compared to that other one.

#6 This is actually a totally amazing fact, thank you.

Can I buy your book without Amazon? I'm in Australia but don't have an Amazon account as such. Hate Bezos but love your stuff!

#8 FWIW, there were several albums released or scheduled for release on 9/11 with cover art featuring attacks on the WTC towers, including ones by Dream Theater and The Coup. Some were yanked and released later with different covers; some were not.

And apparently, Blink 182 was filming a music video that day that included a building being demolished- they scrapped that idea and re-shot the video.

#4 Yeah, sure. I'll believe this one when pigs fly!

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What the hell kind of drone does a farmer own that can transport a live pig through the air? It must be huge.

4 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pigs?

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why do you think the JDI drones were banned in the USA? Drone use in other countries is a massive boon. The FlyCart 30 can lift 40kg or 88 freedom weights. Damn thing can snatch small children, pets, and livestock. The reports of UFO/UAP encounters have skyrocketed

4 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I've had a quick look at some of those drones and I'm gonna guess it'd need to be a DJI Flycart 200 or similar, since a pig for slaughter is usually 110kg+. $20,000 feels like a pretty expensive piece of kit for moving pigs one at a time, but farm machinery is usually more expensive than I imagine, and I have to figure that if someone's actually doing it then it's worth the cost.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I was just listing the one I have used, I know there are bigger. Yea farm equipment is crazy priced. I imagine the issue with the pig farmer is that a truck could take days to go short distances use to poorly cared for roads, hijacking is more common than one expects, etc. Also I assume things like this are shared with a village. Drones this large have lots of uses like bringing supplies back after delivering pigs, and likely other animals.

Lots of short trips through mountainous terrain? Sounds better than driving.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Farm/Agricultural drones can be quite a bit larger than the commercial civilian varieties.

4 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

So I'm learning. Why'd that guy kill that one?

4 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Must be time for the slaughter house for that one

Competition, maybe. No context on the original source.

Two minutes long at about three fucking/fucks per second. That must be like 300+ fucks.

There were a few things in media before 9/11 that involved the twin towers being destroyed by aircraft. The sad truth is that people aren't very imaginative, and if you come up with a good terrorist idea..the lazy terrorist will just appreciate your idea and act on it.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Also in NYC, planes would crash into buildings every now and then, especially in the earlier days of aviation, it's not a totally new thing. The opening of the Spider-Man movie had to be re-edited after 9/11 because it depicted a small plane caught in a spider-web between the twin towers. So yeah, it wasn't that crazy or novel an idea before 9/11

#1 Since many animals can vomit, I assume horses lost this ability somewhere along their evolution. I wonder what the advantage of that was.

4 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I thought it was related to their digestive system being weird. I also thought they had 4 stomachs like cows, but apparently they only have one. Now I wonder if cows can puke.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cows must 'puke' to chew their grass again.

4 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ew. That has to be the second nastiest way a mammal has to re-digest their food.

4 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably because of their weakened abdominal walls. Side effect of getting running to help with breathing.
