Sterling used the twilight zone to get past TV censors for his social commnetary as it flew under thier radar as science fiction. He also used it as an outlet to get over his WWII PTSD

These are gold. And some color photos, so cool. Elizabeth Montgomery was in a red skirt, makes so much sense.

Wow. First, one of the best shows ever, that no matter what has never resonated like the original. But, I thought I’d seen all of these, but I don’t remember some of these stills with others who would go on to be famous. Guess I’ll have to do some research. Thanks @op!

Can you imagine the atmosphere of creativity in that crew. No wonder so many unknowns went on to become icons.

All the B&W shows spawned the Golden age of TV. TZ, Mission Impossible, Outer Limits, The Avengers, 77 Sunset Strip, all the Cowboys and detectives... Along with a raft of the tamer 'adult' movie theater filler comic reels like Looney Tunes, Koko The Clown, Popeye etc...

That episode was terrifying. Imagine one immature, self-indulgent, cruel person having so much power over the world! It's almost beyond imagining.

#2 why couldn't he have just visited an abandoned Optometrist and got more glasses.

How would he find it with no glasses? šŸ˜šŸ¤“

Why couldn't he have just visited a vacant Optometrist's office and got more glasses?

Given that he spends his time before losing his glasses stacking up the surviving books exposed to the elements instead of getting them somewhere they'll be safe from an inevitable change in the weather, he's clearly not the sharpest tool in the shed.
