This Dune version was odd and wonderful

You can tell a lot about a person by how they know Piter De Vries, I mean Brad Dourif

I immediately recognized her voice from Liar Liar (1997)

Wiseblood is hidden rarity of Brad playing a God-fearing, swearing minister !

I've come a long way since I believed in anything.

yep, also used in Ministry song !

Soon I discovered that this rock thing was true. Jerry Lee Lewis was the devil. Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet. All of a sudden I found myself in love with the world, and there was only one thing for me to do, was ding-a-ding-dang my dang-a-long-ling-long....

Brad Dourif when he was younger (look him up in 1975's "One Flew Over The Cucoo's Nest") was remarkably handsome.

God I love her voice.

So pissed off the Chucky TV show got cancelled.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was soooooo good 😩

Season 3 ended on a wild cliffhanger too, was excited to see basically a live action horror version of Toy Story. We were robbed of that.

I didn’t realize it was him until a few years ago I stumbled on the first Child’s Play movie on some random channel and that couple minutes at the beginning you see him do the ritual. I was like 7-8 years old the first time I saw that movie and did not remember it was him. One of those talented actors you don’t realize is in SO MANY movies playing roles perfectly. Like Gary Oldman sneaking up on me realizing how many roles he’s played so versatility.

Good god, I love her voice. So sultry and dreamy

He has the best character arc on star trek voyager of any star trek character

She's tired of dealing with Joe

I thought that voice sounded familiar.

His best role

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Excellent doea not even approach adequate as a description on that character. God I loved him.

2 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Such a great role

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He's always cast as a villain (and he's an AMAZING villain), but i think this is his best role ever. Doc Cochrane is the ultimate Switzerland. And he's so empathetic, and still giving shit to both sides, especially Swearengen, he's a timid guy with balls of steel, somehow, and he pulls it off. I can't think of a better acted character. He takes what is on paper "oh, come on!" And makes it 100% believable.

There is a point, when Rev. Smith is experiencing his problem, that Doc Cochrane stands up to Al and calls him out. I like to think that Al was chagrined being spoken to (rightly) that way.

So soft and tender with the likes of Sophia (the Norwegian girl whose parents are murdered) but so brutal with others. I always laugh when I think of when he's inspecting the prostitutes at the Gem "when you giggle you leak piss"

MR. SUDER from star Trek voyager WAS CHUCKY !?!?!? o---o woah

Every person was cast perfectly in that trilogy. I know Christopher Lee wanted to be Gandalf, it wouldn't be better or worse, just different.

There's a lot of LOTR trivia floating around, but I think my favourite bit was how he stayed fully in character for the entire filming process, and once it was done snapped back from the Wormtongue persona so hard Peter Jackson thought he was faking his actual voice once he stopped putting the accent on.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He's in a great Sci -Fi B movie cakes Death Machine from the 90's that was pretty dope.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Did not know they were the same guy! Thanks!

2 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I love how after seeing him in The Two Towers, I started to realize that he's like in every damn movie ever made.

2 months ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

Loved him as Doc Cochrane in Deadwood, and he’s in one of my favourite X-Files episodes (Beyond a the Sea S01E13).

he was fantastic in that mental hospital episode of Psych

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

He was a recurring character on Star Trek Voyager.

2 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

He was on x-files!

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"Beyond the Sea" is a great X-Files episode! 🖤

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good ol Mr Suder

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He did that character justice… as a viewer you couldn’t connect but you saw the pins poking him as the entire galaxy rejects him

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And a 1-off on Babylon 5.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He played that character so damned well.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Indeed he did.

Am I missing something what the reference to Timothy Spall here?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

is this peter pettigrew or is this from sweeney todd

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Pettigrew

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

not that there's any real difference between his character in each movie

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well he's also that author guy in The Last Samurai, and Mr Poe in the 2004 Series of Unfortunate Events movie. That's some range if you ask me.

2 months ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

2 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

holy crap, it's *definitely* time to rewatch that movie

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yea, it's nuts who's in that movie and it isn't realized

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And here’s his matching reference in Psych

2 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Awesome! I missed that reference. Thank you for educating me!

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yay! :) I only realized it when I saw the Cuckoo’s nest gif on this post too. :D
I watched that movie such a long-long time ago and l didn’t recognize a young Brad Dourif back then.
It’s cool bc their name alliterates similarly too (Billy Bibbit and Bernie Bethel).

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Brad Dourif is one of those few actors where when they're doing literally anything at all they're highly entertaining. The Exorcist sequel Legion is one of the best movies ever made and he carries that film.

2 months ago | Likes 200 Dislikes 0

I concur

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

100% correct. Great movie. Great performance.

2 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

For anyone looking, The Exorcist III: Legion (1990)

2 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Funnily enough, you can often find it just called Legion, as that was the title of the book and the writer/director did not want it to be labeled as a sequel to the Exorcist, especially after Exorcist II was one of the worst movies ever made. Not even James Earl Jones could save that movie.

2 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Pazuzu!

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ohhhhh... I was thinking Legion (2010) and wondering what the fuck that movie had to do with the Exorcist.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah that movie was... yeah. All I remember are an evil ice cream man and an old lady crawling on the ceiling. Ironically that second one is in Legion (1990) too. Probably was inspired by it, I'd assume.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When did they add "legion"?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was always Legion then some studio tacked on "Exorcist III:" because they wanted to sell more tickets. It probably hurt sales though given II was such a turd.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Turd? It was amazing. I saw it in theaters for a college course.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exorcist 2?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dourif is best when he can chew scenery.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He's in fucking Myst 3 as the antagonist. It's amazing.

2 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Went back to replay that game after many years and when Saavedro showed up for the first time I just about jumped out of my chair going "IS THAT FUCKING BRAD DOURIF??!"

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The myst 3 trailer never fails to give me chills as dourif is shown

Oh shit for some reason I didn't recognize him in Dune!

It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stain, the stain becomes a warning. It is by will along that I set my mind in motion.

His daughter had a few good roles already, I hope everything will be alright for here

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Oh nice, any you'd recommend?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The only season of the great serie (sadly cancelled) Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and The Pitt, season 2 just finished last month

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Thanks, I'll check them out!

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

There were definitely two seasons of Dirk Gently. Season 2 is so conceptually wacky I was surprised it was greenlit and it's one of my favorite seasons of television.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wasn't she the crazy "luck" assassin?

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

"Hollistic" assassin, exactly ^^

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was rewatching X-Files, and he showed up. He was a vessel for spirits and MAN was he amazing!

2 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

EVERYONE shows up in the early years of the X-Files. It's crazy how many major actors do guest spots on it early in their careers.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Iirc Giovanni Ribisi & Jack Black basically got starts in the same episode. Which was BRUTAL, btw.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ah yes, S0303, D.P.O. Darin Peter Oswald. Lightning-ed some people.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I must have missed the Jack Black episode. Thanks! I'll check it out.

I dont get it. What's the connection?

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I believe that’s his daughter. Who also played in a Chucky movie or two, with her dad voicing Chucky.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

This is Fiona Dourif, his daughter. She was also great as crazy killer in Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective <3

2 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Being killers must run in the family

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She stole every scene she was in on that show. Amazing job

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

100% She did such a great job they Donald Ducked her later in the 1st season and even sidelined her in the 2nd. It pissed me off.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Jennifer Tilly is a special kind of hot.

2 months ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

Sexiest voice around. I love a good raspy voice.

2 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Agreed

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've liked her in everything I've seen her in.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0198386/ she plays a stripper. I am not usually a guy that wants to objectify women but she was very sexy and very squeeky in it. And the whole cast was awesome
