They're also used as flock guards for barn animals like goats and sheep. A job typically reserved for flock Dogs. Often pairing both a donkey and a flock dog produce improved success in detection and protection. A donkey will fuck up a fox, coyote, or even a wolf without a second thought. They're very protective of their family. And if they see the flock as their family chances are most, if not all members of the flock will love long enough to die of old age.

This blew up on my local Nextdoor. Evidently the cop recently also shot a dog. Thanks to the fact that under Georgia law a live animal has as much rights as a chair, Open Fields doctrine, and Qualified Immunity, the cop won't face any repercussions. If he did, he could just go to a different jurisdiction and nobody would know about his animal hating tendencies.

All that's going to do is make a lawyer get paid to accomplish nothing more than paying some of his bills. A better use, but almost surely as frivolous in rural Georgia, would be campaigning for police reform and accountability. The laws that protect him are rather iron clad. You have to fix the laws before you can begin to address this.
