Aww the one of the creators of the creepiest shit I've ever had the displeasure of viewing died... sucks for him and his family.

Christmas fun fact: Donnie and Marie featured "You're A Mean One Mr. Grinch" singer Thurl Ravenscroft as Darth Vader

They would make the most bizarre television shows that would air a season or two before being cancelled, and the network would ask them what else they got.

I was only like 7, and even I always thought “What kind of crazy acid trip are these people on?!”.

So many great shows done by Sid and Marty. I loved Wonderbug when I was a kid.

“H.R. PUFFNSTUFF! He’s full of puffy ass stuff! AND FLUFF!” I am sorry, I don’t remember the lyrics

Is that poop residue around his mouth?

Amazing how their entire body of work was contained completely within the era it was made. None of it survived or adapted.

I've always been struck by how unhinged and obviously drug fuelled the kid shows were, yet they claim no drugs were involved. Man the late 60s early 70s were a strange time.

I used to sing "To the Land to the lost" (instead of "of the lost") and it's been a family joke since

God, I so loved Land of the Lost as a kid. It wasn’t a Saturday without Sleestaks.

His wife was Christa Speck, who was Playmate of the year in 1962.

The day i knew i was old was when I called a tall skinny guy at work a "Sleestack looking ass", then had to explain what a Sleestack was. I owe a huge chunk of happy childhood to those guys

I watched all of their shows in real time as a kid. They were so weird!!

Thank you Marty for the most amazing childhood show (Land of the Lost) and my first crush (Joy from the Bugaloos)
