Snakes... Why did it have to be snakes?

Second best movie ever. After Star Wars of course.

As a 6yr old, this movie was absolute perfection. 45 years later, still one of my go-to favorites.

#13 Fun Fact Time! The "Strong Nazi" Indy fights is named Pat Roach, professional wrestler turned actor. He had an earlier appearance in the bar scene with Marion, he was the man whose arm caught fire. He also played the main antagonist in Temple of Doom, and had a very brief scene cut in Last Crusade, but you can catch a glimpse of him as they're getting on the Zeppelin. He is one of very few people who were in all 3 Indiana Jones originals.
He also played the Skull Warrior in Willow.

I thought it was cute that the recent series The Boroughs, has a little tribute to Alfred Molina's turn in Raiders with the Hovitos' idol

Those are the ghosts being modeled for the ark opening scene

You could upvote my comment... if only you spoke Hovitos.

So it wasn't a documentary?

That's what they want you to believe. But you and me, we know better.

Thats a lie... 1981 is a mere 20 years away, not 45.

#11 Drawing a blank on where this was in the film.

I think it's at the end where the spirits are coming out of the ark and killing everyone. Not 100% certain, but pretty sure.
Pasquinelthe2nd
The ending, that's the dummy used for Belloq's head exploding (censors made them cover it with fire or else the film was gonna get an R rating)
Filanwizard
This movie is basically how we got SCP and Warehouse 13. The part at the end where the Ark is being crated up and stored in a seemingly endless government warehouse.
HashMaster9k
I remember back in the 90's, before either of those were a thing, there was a big fan sourced document on IndyFan.com (I think), that had an individual listing for virtually each weird artifact that came out of either history, fable, myth, TV Show, and Movie, where it was catalogued, placed, and warning messages attributed to it in the vault. I almost gauran-damn-tee you someone from WH13 had printed out a copy of it just like I did in high school to reference. Man, old internet rocked.

Indiana Jones is irrelevant to the plot. Everything would have turned out the same without him !
AmyBethMegJo
Yeah, but aren't we glad he was part of it! Also, I get the reference. 👍🏻

But then all those Nazis would've gone unpunched. And sometimes, isn't it not the destination, but the Nazis we punch on the way?
