This guy (Kyle Clark) consistently kicks Republican asses. You gotta see this interview with Victor Marx, the batshit-crazier dude who was also in this debate. It's WILD. https://youtu.be/KywOV9EkNFg?si=6doSHrwAFwaPzpqn

Nice find! Thank you for sharing that. Pretzel logic at its finest (Marx, that is).

Holy shit that was beautiful to watch!

Yeah this might be my favorite post ever. Or at least it would have been if it included any sauce. But the moderator was fucking great, yes.

65 - 40 = 15! /s

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That’s the way to use “good grief”

"That's not how math and logic works"

1 month ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Even ignoring everything else, the difference between 40 & 65 is not 15...

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

“You can admit you can’t tell the difference between Venezuelans and gang members.”

“I already did that.”

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And that’s dumb with a B. Did you guys know dumb has a b in it? Most people don’t know that

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was so spot on! Loved it!

Jeebus, we need more moderators like him so badly.

His opponent doing that Jeremy Renner smile on the sideline is just choice.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Remember at the 2024 vice presidential debate when the moderators VERY GENTLY redirected JD Vance about migrants eating pets and he said “I was told there would be no fact checking!” IM STILL FUCKING FURIOUS ABOUT THAT. OF COURSE WE NEED TO FUCKING FACT CHECK PEOPLE AT A GD DEBATE

1 month ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

trouble is republicans don't care about debate performance and so they'd just no show them. While leftists will slaughter a progressive for a weird yell.

MAGA: "I want my racism affirmed."
MAGA candidate: "Look at all the evil foreign gang members!"
Journalist: "No one in law enforcement is backing up your claims, can you present your evidence?"
MAGA candidate: "*rhetorical equivalent of fart noises*"
MAGA: "StOp AtTaCkInG tHeM aNd CaLlInG oUt LiEs So WoKe!!111!!!1"

Can't fix stupid

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I don't understand why every journalist that talks to the repugnant orange idiot does not do this. Flood the zone with calling out his lies.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It's like watching a little boy try to fake his way through an oral report of a book he only read the jacket on.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Well would you look at that, a single journalist holds a single politician's feet to the fire. Not a bad average since Trump first took office a decade ago.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He was promised there would be no fact checking.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

“Good grief sir, that’s not what I said” had me howling

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Fucking nuked, no survivors.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kyle Clark, local Denver 9News journalist, has been fucking amazing for years, and he's getting more blunt and outspoken as time goes by.

1 month ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Based as fuck

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"That's not how math and logic work". So simple, yet none of the legacy media is EVER willing to tell that to Trump. We all know why. Protection and privilege.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"The rules were, you weren't going to fact-check."

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

“Then I am right about the facts”. Is this MF high?

1 month ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

No, but his voters are too fucking stupid to care.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Oh look, somebody bought the receipts and another republican has to dance.

What a collection of jackholes.

1 month ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Anyone remember that apartment complex that they said was being held hostage by the tren de argua cartel ? Whatever happened to that?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Trump himself, with his huge, bulging Presidential mancock, conducted a raid on the complex, and killed the cartel members like dogs. They died like dogs with tears in their eyes.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sir! they said. Sir please we know in our hearts we’re gang members and it’s an honor to be killed by your men!

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Literally nothing, and those opportunistic fucks over at TYT lied about it, never retracted their lies or apologized for uncritically spreading right-wing lies

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If only every journalist grilled Republicans like this person instead of just letting the insane shit they say go entirely unchecked.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Grill them ALL like this. It won't happen to the Dems as badly, but hold every politician's feet to the fire!!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damn good journalist !

1 month ago | Likes 332 Dislikes 1

I'm from the Denver area, Kyle Clark is fucking fantastic.

1 month ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Fuck yeah he is! Same with Joe Neguse, we have some good folks out here.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would love to see more journalists question trump and the admin like this

1 month ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

trump would have just shifted to personal attacks "ye're harrible, yer a harrible person, jus ah nasty nasty harrible person"

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want every televised debate to have a strong fact-checking moderator

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The problem is that journalism is a low paying job and its almost impossible to work your way up, unless you have some sort of financial support.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The whole point of being a journalist was not that it paid well. It was supposed to be a job where people cared about presenting true factual news to the masses. It was about the public good, like a soup kitchen.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still gotta pay bills.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kyle Clark. Took me forever to dig up the video it came from and find him. God forbid people sauce their effing posts anymore. LAZY.

Ty for the link, not for the ridicule of people.

Why must we tear down people down?

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Asking people who share media to hold a standard of linking their source material is not "tearing someone down"

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU. Tighten up, @op.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice, thank you. From what I just watched, I super respect him. Now i can pay attention to his future commentaries.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reporters not doing this is why trump is in power. They ask him a basic question he say nothing close to an answer then brags about a made up fact and they say “thank you sir” and not, “that isn’t an answer.”

1 month ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

It's easier and more profitable to just make shit up that gets clicks and views or just go after things that are easy to make controversial. Salience equals engagement which equals profit. Our collective decision to allow marketing agencies fund our "news" is the root cause of all this bull shit.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Access. They are deathly afraid of losing access and being iced out. Its why the New York Times was so shitty with Biden. Staffer provided a statement on the condition his name was withheld, they named him anyway, so Biden decided to go to another publication for his first interview as President. NYT felt they had a right to the first interview and they have been attacking him since.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Call me crazy but I still firmly believe there is zero good reason to have a 24 hour news cycle and that all news outlets should be publicly funded through multiple different revenue streams that are 100% contingent on the news outlet remaining factual. No more of this op ed crap. Just tell me what's going on to the best of your knowledge through vetting and research and let me decide what I think out it.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem becomes who determines what is "fact". Revenue is a huge issue as you need to pay the journalists, photogs, editors, etc. while maintaining the medium on which its delivered. For a local paper, it was the classifieds but Craigslist started the end of that. Business ads can help, but publish the wrong story and they revolt. Subscriptions help, but no one wants to pay for them (nO pAyWaLs). I don't know what's next but strong local news needs to be key.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I majored in Print Journalism and politicians wanted nothing more than to silence the watchdogs. They got their wish in the 1996 Telecommunications Act which lifted ownership restrictions and helped to usher in the giant media groups you see now, which have emptied newsrooms from coast to coast, while funneling local ad dollars out of the communities. Our local paper is a USAToday owned rag that employs less than 10 locally.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The paper is printed 2 hours away and the emphasis is on local high school sports. No offense to anyone with kids in sports...but no one cares. The giant building where our Newspaper was housed has been divided into office rental space. I do marketing now and I have to contact a sales person in an office 3 hours away if I want to purchase ad space. Its broken and I don't see a way to fix it. Independent is a start, but those end up being sold to the giant media groups.

As a society we need to understand that getting something for "free" isn't a viable business model and we need to pay for accurate and trustworthy news. The only way we can have that is if the threat of losing funding is always a possibility if a news outlet fucks around.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The people who manage the public funding determine if the reporting is factual or not. That's why I said multiple different revenue streams. As soon as you tie the business model to the financial control of a single entity bias starts to creep in.
